I've used the same radio but with a different brand name. I used the vanku px5. I installed it without having to connect it to an steering wheel module /interface on my Honda CR-Z.

Great idea but my two USB sockets from my Android head unit have DAB & CarPlay connected to it so where would you connect the TP link?

I have a Joying Head unit and have the same issue. I purchased the same TP- LINK TL-WN823N but nothing is seen in Android. Does Android automatically know which driver to use? I tried turning on/off the Wifi, but I dont get a blinking light.

I found mine to be pin2 and pin13. I presume SWC1 will connect to pin 2 and SWC2 to pin13. Will this work or do I have to connect any of the wire to ground

My unit use to work with wifi tethering from my phone but suddenly stopped working all together no wifi at all, does not find any hotspots what so ever even with phone laying directly next to unit. Checked the internal antenna and all "seems" well but there is no wifi signal at all Has a built iin antenna on the board. "Stupid Idea"

Have this Similar head unit with the same problem and thought I would try this dongle but did not work for mine I'm using Android 7.1.2 and it did nothing when i plugged it in.

Had the same issue with a TOMTEC Android Head Unit, and i tried this method with another wifi adapter, and suddernly is working! After talking with Ebay company witch said to return the head unit( extremely difficult to to that as has been fitter with gps antenna and all the wires hidden, watched this video two hours ago, tried this way and working. As far I saw on the forums a lots of head units have the same issue (random manufactures) wifi/bluetooth antenna issues. thank you a lot for sharing your video! All the best!

I had problem with WiFi on Android car Stereo running Android Nougat as well, went to Office Depot and found the TP-LINK TL-WN725N WiFi dongle for $10. Works like a champ

When you say ground wire... Do you mean the ground wire coming from the original honda harness or the one for the pumpkin radio itself... I'm having trouble getting this to work on my 2002 honda accord... Also where did you find the correct pins for your honda - Thanks

Ii originally bought the metra axxes steering wheel control but I couldn't make work and I follow all the instructions in how to connect it but I couldn't make it work but I used the same pins to connect it directly to the radio key 1 and key 2 wires. here's the link axxessinterfaces.com search for your vehicle and it will show you which pins to use . I hope it helps
