Clan seafox changed their name because clan snow raven genetically engineered a shark to kill off the sea foxes (sea foxes are an otter like animal) in a move to screw with them. So clan sea fox pointed to the snow raven shark and said "we're clan that thing now."

It is the cool Sororitas artwork from the 9th limited codex HOWEVER they F'd it up with a typo on the package label, its Adepta not Adeptus... as per the decree passive, Adepta is the feminine title, not a coverall masculine weighted Adeptus title used by the Astartes or Mechanics for example. Just a little lore tangent for you, us sisters players cop the most typos in our material out of all factions tbh, you should see the mistakes in every codex or book 😭

GW didn't have anything planned it seems so they sent out the whole eldar killteam and told the store clerks to deal with it.

Yeah I was confused as well. But at my store they were also pre assembled and not very well there was glue spill over horrible nub marks and mine was even missing a part but also they were all different I got the crab claw one and my friend got a standard guy with a pistol and a token.

The GW store i went to had the customer cut it out and it was a mess. Pose 1 and 2 were the same and were gone within the first hour because it wad the leader with the cool weapons. New people didn’t know that so they waisted their time clipping out that pose’s extra arms or chest. Each pose is mono-pose and took forever to hunt down. Does each neck go with each head and torso? Idk? Torso is front, back, and backpack as well. Chainsword has a sprue connection point on one of the chainsaw teeth so it’s SUPER easy to clip off. Definitely one of the more complex kits. You get a lot of cool bits and extra heads from it though!

One of the nice things about Battletech is at least within rules as written all the units and all paint jobs can go to whatever faction and use whatever configuration you want. Technically within the rules as long as you have a figure where you can ID the front it’s legal so you could use lego or monopoly pieces or whatever. Obviously there is lore out there about who has what when but that’s all just extra flavour on top.

the two colors on the mech cards are for the diffrent variants of the mechs that are printed on there. check the clan jade falcon logo if you want to get an eagle tattoo from battletech Classic Battletech is a lot more crunchy than Alpha Strike, which is played with the smaller mech cards and not the Din A4 datasheets

It's also worth picking up the starter boxes as they often contain exclusive miniatures. If you get the essentials box its all focused around arena combat with stables that all have different abilities. It comes with a special centurian. When you master the game of armored combat box you can get the clan invasion expansion Alpha Strike box set has exclusive miniatures as well and a new reposed locust variant. As well as some Clan mechs.

Haven’t finished the video yet, but how you paint your minis doesn’t matter at all for gameplay in battletech. But if you do want ideas, there’s a website called camospecs that has official paint schemes for all the factions and even individual units within those factions

Battletech is fun! Infinite options for painting. Those mechs in the GoAC box have dozens of different official variants depending upon where in the Battletech timeline you want to run around in.

The funny thing is that the commando was here before the clone wars.. so they would have borrowed it from battle tach. next you should check out alpha strike..

Play a game or two with the Awesome and you'll love it.

Thunderbolt and Wolverine are easily some of my favourites. During the Succession wars era of low tech nuking each other into the dark ages these were just work horses every faction had some kind of build of these mechs and used them a ton.

BT ruleset is a bit crunchy, but this is designed to be played with up to about four to five mechs per side so it plays faster than it looks. There are expanded rules in a big compendium-style Total Warfare book, but most of players will never need them. What's in the box will be enough for a long time. There are more mech minis and record sheets available from CGL, but the basic box has mech construction rules for making your own mechs before you'll need more official designs. Oh, and Awesome may be ugly as sin walking pile of armor, but it's one of the most overpowered 3025 mech designs. It's a great mech to include in a starter box because it doesn't require knowledge of all ins and outs of the rules to use effectively.

35:43 I plated the game a lot from about 2000 - 2023 with nothing but a rulebook, dice, some battlemaps, Othello pieces, and stickers to put on the Othello pieces. I only recently started collecting and painting the models.

5:50 The paint isn't relivent to the stats. Paint them how you like! There's tons of officially accepted paint schemes on CamoSpecs if you want inspiration or want to follow some in universe cannon.

4:48 the cards are for the fast play / largerr scale ruleset, Alpha Strike. The rules for that aren't in the box, but the basic rules for that are freely available on the Battletech website. There's also an Alpha Strike box set which has 13 new minis. The only repeat mech is your favorite, the Locust. It's a different sculpt and loadout, so not exactly the same.

Liya International is the factory that makes the minis. They have their own channel if you want to see their process from mold to shipping box.
