I learned more in the first 4 minutes than in the last 20 Paris videos I've seen -- combined.

As a school kid in Northumberland, I remember traipsing around Warkworth and Dunstanburgh in the pouring rain on a field trip lol, luckily Bamburgh and Alnwick were a lot sunnier

Lesley gives an outstanding walking tour of Karnak Temple. Her knowledge of the pharaonic period is evident and adds to one's total enjoyment of time well spent.

Absolutely loved this! My great grandfather was from Killarney and left for wales in around 1910 and I went there at 16 to visit cousins. 42 years ago. So to see how much this magical place has changed was so lovely. I enjoyed every second. Thank you so very much. ❤️

a couple months ago I fulfilled my dream of visiting Kerry with my kids! It was some kind of "homecoming after 300 years", since my clan lived around Cahersiveen-Glenbeigh-Lough Caragh-Killorglin-Killarney, and left this area after the Irish rebels leaded by the O`Donoghue`s and fortified around Ross Castle were finally defeated by the Cromwellian invaders... Escaping detention, confiscation and eviction, they migrated to the Basque Country, and after getting integrated into the local society, the next generation moved to the Spanish colonies of Guam, the Philippines, and South America... Thus there is also another story that binds us to Iveragh-Dingle, and it involves the famous antarctic explorer Tom Crean (see South Pole Inn, Annascaul), who after 1 year stranded on the ice-shelf reached South Georgia with Schackleton, and organized the rescue of their friends in Elephant Island by the Chilean navy... the third officer of that ship happened to be my great-grandfather! Greetings from wild, wet, windy, and wonderful Western Patagonia, Chile
