Its crazy how they managed to make a character that punches in a shooting game work, i know rein has a hammer but he has a big ass shield too

This might be the guide I've seen for any character. A lot of players that are top 500 have trouble explaining what the character is supposed to be doing and what I'm supposed to be thinking. It's probably because they don't think about it anymore because it comes second nature. But you didn't just give mechanical tips or rollouts or something. Explaining the thought process of of a character is so much more effective for guides

This video is going to help me a lot as a new Doom main thank you so much,I was just watching Zbra & learning the tricks to the power punch but this helps a lot more.

Im just picking doom up, and i am having major issues with biting off more than i can chew. I try to flank and get flucked. I try to charge my punch and get burned down before i can shoot the punch off. How do i work on my basics? Im on console, if that matters.

slamming on their whole team gives shields, playing closer to walls instead of in the open to break Line of sight if they melt you helps to not die instantly. Finding the right times to go backline when they are isolated or they used thier cooldowns, plus not staying there for very long, doom relies on aim more than anything else, so you gotta start hitting nearly every shot.

Before you learn doom, I recommend mastering tracer, she teaches every fundamental for all characters. Teaches discipline and cooldown management. Plus, she isn’t team reliant, so don’t expect healing, dying is always at your own fault so every death and mistake is more easily recognized. If people are serious about getting better at ow, the best way to get good fast is learn tracer, everything else comes naturally

@sycom- thank you, I appreciate the advice. I usually do well at sombra and picking up tracer seems to be going well so far. 😁

13:47 As of Season 9 they patched this so you don’t have to worry about it. Specifically for Ana. Some hero’s still have this bug with Doom.

Honestly thanks for this guide. I was a masters doom main in OW when he was a dps. And I took a 3 years break from the game cus I was burnt out playing collegiate. Not fun btw. And I have been wanting to play again but they changed so much it’s a new game. New characters, old characters have new moves, so this guide helped me understand my boy doom. Hopefully I can find the fun in playing this game again.

We’ll see what new games pop up here in the time to come, faster internet is projected to come to my area soon, I might start streaming random stuff and find something that sticks, but I still play ow casually here and there, it will always hold a place in my heart. <3

Found your channel yesterday and straightaway found that it has the best vod reviews, and its especially cool that you're a doom main and review doom gameplay (Doom movement being what got me caught on Overwatch. Idk why but I always chase movement in games xd). Ive started to understand what Im doing wrong congrats to your videos. Sad to hear you're kinda done with overwatch, but that's what happens when u get good and invested in a game, and then the devs start doing weird changes for the sake of doing changes. Ive felt the same thing in DBD and Tarkov, played both games for a couple thousand hours, got good but left because I stopped enjoying the grind and the new patches. Happily for me Ive just started overwatch last month, and Im only on the first 100hrs of the grind) Wish you all the luck in whatever game you're transferring to. P.S. Long comment for a long video, balanced, as all things should be.
@sycom-11 ай бұрын
Thanks for the encouraging comment, it means alot, hopefully the small assortment of vids is enough to help you fully understand the character and improve quickly. my best advice is to practice aim with him regularly, before every match and half an hour before you start playing comp, another tip is if you are warming up, you can try open queue as health is decreased, and it teaches you how to play carefully and smarter. You’ll discover what you can get away with a lot faster than role, playing role queue feels like cheating after lol
