I think the easiest way of implementing Energy while also "balancing" the decks that can and want to play energy is the same thing they did in V which is to errata the D-Starters provide the energy generator. This also gives deck building choices and restrictions because u would then have to choose between getting the guarantee draw going first off of the SV/Draw +QS going second (immediate card advantage) or getting energy and no draw extra draw going first (incremental card advantage + larger card pool/ability access) It's actually very strange that Energy is not implemented in premium, and the only reason i can think of other than BR hating the format, is the amount of additional time that's added per turn fiddling with energy.

Sacrifice glass is a nice step towards how to make a energy focused deck. However I'd like to have other grade 3's that can use energy in fun way.

I genuinely relate honestly. I wanted to try and keep going with VG but honestly. Everytime I tried to tell myself to keep myself with the game. But I just couldn't care and got really disenfranchised with the game. The OT was a thing but thats not my primary concern. The primary market and the understanding about how if you don't play locals, the tournament promos are just awkward to obtain. The constant need to rinse and rotate for almost no real reason. Which is why I think playing Shadowverse has been a huge shift in my mental state. Which I think is why I'm fine with rotating out of VG and just playing SVE. Even though I only have 1 person to play against locally. But I think I can't just leave myself out of VG as a game. Which is why i'll probably get Dear Days 2.

To your point about the ride deck. I don’t think it’s a bad thing and it should exist but I do think the desgin of a lot of decks could be better. Im a zorga player and have been since set 1 and current zorga is the perfect design for a deck in my opinion. Right now you have two ride lines to choose from and every deck list you see for that deck is wildly different allowing for a lot of variety but also in game the whole combining two different orders allows for a lot of different plays and things you can do depending on the situation and that’s without even considering putting zorga masques in your deck. The biggest issue with a lot of decks is that most rearguards a just graba card from somewhere and gain power but in the zorga deck every single rear guard serves a different function which makes you have to think and plan your plays around every deck and everything your opponent does.

I would add this as a side tangent: PLEASE STOP PRINTING CARDS THAT INCLUDE CONDITIONS THAT MAKE IT SO THAT YOU CAN'T PLAY A CARD IF YOU HAVE A G-ZONE. Take the D-series Battle Sister, Cocoa. She is completely unplayable in premium because of that condition. Same with Dancing Cutlass, which has it worse since it can't even be played in its ORIGINAL CLAN in either format, since it has that one f-ing condition.

Honestly I personally liked V❤ well more I liked the cards and different mechanics then everything else. Overdress is a mixed bag for me. More so because of the addition of the over trigger😂 especially in a best of one format 😓😈💣 Sure the over trigger is a unique and interesting mechanic, however I still don’t really like having it in the game. I’m still waiting for my jewel knights to come to standard 😩 their still my favorite deck archetype next to bangdream, and angel feathers Currently I’m trying grand Archive and playing vanguard on the side ( as I sadly don’t have any English decks)

Bushiroad is probably just not focusing so much on Premium anymore since the majority of the playerbase is in D format instead. If they were to have energy in Premium, they would need to make a new set of boosters or cards that will benefit Premium decks only, and this will not be cost-efficient for the company itself. The current playerbase in Premium are mostly on EN, and in JP, there are only occasional tournaments or probably DaiVangasai (?) Even JP WGPs do not have premium format anymore, not even in side events. So to Bushiroad, it will just be a waste of money to support Premium, and all the hype is just in D-Standard now.

I'm already playing Lascaria in premium. The moment I can use energy is the moment I begin my villain arc

You're making me double down on Vanguard, big guy. I was about to dab my toes in YGO again until this video.

I'd love to see using Energy in P, but I can see why they decided against it. It's like Day and Night in MTG, you have to keep track of it even though a good number of decks won't make use of it (I don't see a lot of EB cards that would be that good in P if you could EB) Ironically enough, they've been doing a pretty good job with Energy in collab decks. >All of VSPO's G2s call the G1s from Deck by paying CB1 or EB3. Meaning that they easily build a board once, then the rear-guards all vanish by their own effects, and then you need to CB to build from scratch which adds up with the VG CB1. However, going 2nd they get the buff of having 1 more free call. >Dekka in CoroCoro does something similar, except this time you can only spend energy to call hour G1s. Since you EB2 to call and only EC3 per turn, you can't use two of the G2s on turn 2 going 1st, but going 2nd you get this buff, as well as having surplus energy that they can use on Warrior's Rest or other EB cards. (Most of the time by turn 3 the deck will have spent 6 energy). >The Blitz decks (Welstra and Black) have Fentlichta which is EB4 whose effect is very good. But they can't exactly spam it, and will realistically only have enough gas to go all in once, so knowing when to do so is crucial. >Love&Berry is basically what you said about "can't gain energy", as their crest will EB3 every single turn to do its thing, locking the two decks out of other EB cards mostly.

Couple of things. 1 energy only goes to ten not twelve 😂 lol 2 you forgot about my boy masanori getting an energy crest too😢 and 3 I 1000% agree that energy should be in premium so we have other ways to pay costs and have more accessible ways to use d cards especially when majority of the newer stuff all have energy costs. It’s a simple change like you said just update the rules same way yugioh does when they add new mechanics. Only problem is they already screwed themselve by making the energy generator a “ride deck” requirement. If they axe that bs and make it a ruling mechanic that can be used in d and p then we’re golden !

"What is the difference between an Overtrigger and Dimension Shifter?" I felt this one deeply. You can easily replace "my opponent critsacked me" with "I got D-Barrier'd for my life savings" and I'd react the same to either one. With a huge oof.

Regarding the top X structure. Just my thoughts but they could give the higher seeds the option to decide who goes first as an advantage. But that privelage only comes if you went x-0 or x-1 facing an x-2. Also king of swiss prizing just because swiss curse is a very real thing. And a suggestion to change energy rules where you have the option to make you remove the energy generator to nullify an opponents overtrigger at any point in the game and change it to a draw trigger(opp draws 2)

Me personally I always thought your love and passion for the game, the drive to see it be competitive, be respected amongst other card games. Was always something to admire and all inspiring. But sadly the writing was on the wall man. You were going to eventually burn yourself in pursuit of your passions. Happens to the best of us "the brightest stars burn the fastest". can it be a good idea if they keep the concept of OT but change it to like, a trigger that does the effects of all the triggers together, but instead of +10k it's +20k, and they keep the 50k shield ?

Energy needs to be included in premium. Either make the ride deck available for certain lines or offer a starter that allows the ride deck crest. The cool possibility for the Energy Generator is other ride deck crests with different effects (like more energy charge with built-in costs, or better secondary effects and less energy charge).
