@jeffinman621 I know I'll get flack for this, as I have in another thread. I've been doing brakes for 20+ years and I've never torqued down caliper bolts, and I've never had one come loose. I just tighten them hard, and then torque the wheels to 95 ft/lbs

@fixitfrank4124 ай бұрын
Make sure you check out my video series for other fluids. I've done the supercharger fluid on mine already, transmission, transfer case. I still need to do the front and rear differentials and antifreeze, I just hit 100k miles.
@patrickhoward40804 ай бұрын
@@fixitfrank412 Will do brother! Yeah I’m gonna change the diff fluids also…changing the rear diff cover. Have any recommendations? I see the AFE one has a sight gauge but I hear the Ford performance one is prob the best one. I like the look of both tho.
@fixitfrank4124 ай бұрын
@patrickhoward4080 I'm gonna do the Ford Performance one when I do it, the Spicer is the same but cheaper if you don't care about it saying Spicer instead of Ford Performance!

You shouldn't put that extra metal piece on. I did the same thing, and it made the worst noises ever. I then took it all back apart then removed that extra piece of metal and the noise stopped.

Helpful video. Quick question though. Is your's a 6.2L V8 with the Phase 2? The reason I ask is because I recently bought one used and the old belt broke in the worst spot possible, right where the part # and dimensions are imprinted. So I went to O'Reillys abd the looked up the belt for my truck, only for it to be about 4 1/2" inches too small , specifically the 106" length.I ordered one that was closer but still no joy , so i went to my local Ford dealership. I told what was up and gave them my VIN, and they ordered me a belt except was still too small. Does the bemt have to be a Roush to fit, or do you happen to know the dimensions? Inly reason I ask is that I need my truck for work and I can only borrow my dad's for so long, so I cannot afford to wait weeks for one to arrive.
@ErikWrazen5 ай бұрын
Hey bud, you need K061251 for stage 2. For me the gates belts don't make noise but I've blown both gates and the ac delco "HD" green belts.
@easternrebel10615 ай бұрын
@ErikWrazen thanks. I ended up finding a guy that made me a custom order one, but I'll keep the part # in mind . Appreciate it.

For the middle burner, I just use the correct size socket wrench to deep clean. To those saying you can't put the grates in the dishwasher, you can. Just don't use the dish detergent. And be sure to dry thoroughly. Then work on seasoning them like you would pans.

Just did fronts on my 19 civic coupe ext today. The rotor screw i just used pb blaster, and a cheap walmart impact drill. Came right out. Ive also kept that area clean and protected since new. So maybe thats it? Here in VT everything rusts if you dont fluid film etc. Could always use a mini propane torch too on the screw.

I bought a 2017 Mazda 6 with the EPB warning light (orange) on and it won't go off. When trying to exit maintenance mode it sounds like the E-brake moves and gets stuck? Then the EPB light (red) starts flashing until I press the electronic parking brake button forward to release. Thoughts?

I couldn't get that screw out.. I just drilled it out with a 1/4 inch drill bit and off she came. everything worked out just fine. after I put everything together and went to calibrate and forgot to plug in the passenger side EBM cable! lol. it kept saying brake issue, and press and hold to release. but wouldn't... until I remembered i didn't plug in that cable. but once i did, i recalibrated it again and everything worked out fine. I thought I fucked up for a minute? The driver side rear stayed locked when that happened.

Do you have to do this step to remove the rear calipers? I attempted to change my rear brakes without doing this step, and could not remove the caliper after removing the bolts. I assumed it was seized due to heat and gave up, but if i had done this step first, would it have mattered for my issue?
@fixitfrank412 Жыл бұрын
Not entirely sure, but it might be worth trying. I'd do this then use a screwdriver to help pry the caliper off, without prying on anything plastic!

Get the majority of the grease/grime off using ANY cleaner, THEN use the Weimann's stainless cleaner (yes, on the black top too!), it's a MIRACLE, it removes ALL STREAKS and junk, it's AMAZING! Don't need to spray Weimann's liberally, just a little does the trick!
