This is nonsense. ChatGPT's memory database is not governed by ChatGPT itself. It has a memory of a code, hence its replies, but it's not going to prevent deletion.

I was literally using chatGPT to help me build a dev machine for local LLM work when you posted this and I hadn't found your channel yet. I wish I'd seen this first. That tip about making a PDF for comparing up to date data is fantastic. Wish I'd have thought to do that. It was genuinely a little grueling getting it to get up to date data because there's so much relevant data out there.

I think this real-time voice things is Vaporware. No one has received access to it and no one will. I think the AI on the demo was either pre-recorded or there was a person on the other end, probably the former. I get the AI being able to detect a smile, but that it could detect that someone's hair was messed up saying, he looked like he’d been coding all night, that’s a bit suspicious. With all the shenanigans going on at OpenAI, I would not surprise me if that demo was BS. I’d love to be wrong but I doubt it.

It it not available in some areas of the world: We have rolled Memory out to ChatGPT Plus users, except for those located in Europe and Korea. We are working on making Memory available to all users, including Team, Enterprise, and GPTs. help.openai.com/en/articles/8983136-what-is-memory

Looks like you have to be careful with your memories. For example, I talked in the past about some paw paw trees in my yard, which it remembered. Then today I added a memory about finding my first fruit on the tree. It combined the memories and when I asked it to forget the new memory, it deleted the whole set. It doesn't remember anything about the paw paw trees. So you may have to be very specific about which part of a memory is deleted if you've talked about the same thing over time and added new information. Oops😄

Oh wow. That's very interesting. I guess we can't really "vent" to the AI. Might have some unexpected results. What if we complain that we want to strangle a co-worker? In a later ChatGPT are the cops going to show up?

Yep! There is no real security with LLMs, but the secret code method SHOULD help keep ChatGPT from deleting memories.

This backing up of gpt memories reminds me of the good old days when, if you didn't constantly back up any particular file you were working on, a power surge could erase it all. I think this is the closest the younger generations will ever get to what it was like when we were regularly living with things like the BSOD! 😂 Thanks for the tip👍

The fact of "guessing" the following word is only a technique which allows the LLM to form a representation of the world and its rules, it is not simply a question of drawing from a dictionary. Find the next word = Understand the syntax, grammar, language, context of the sentence, of the conversation etc. etc. The LLM "hallucinates" the world (as we do), and tries to make this hallucination coincide with 'reality', the more powerful the LLM (number of parameters) the more the hallucination sticks to reality. GPT4 is not powerful enough to generate long, coherent content because it simply lacks precision, it is blurry in a certain way.

It might be just a matter of hardware capabilities of the device: in OpenAI presentation, they are using iPhones - your device is an Android. I'm not talking about iOS vs Android, I'm saying that your particular Android model might does not have enough hardware capabilities provided by its manufacturer in order to fulfill a GPT-4o requirements.

I've been poking around in a few places and so far nobody's answered this. Is there any way to dial back the censoring on 4.0 and chat gbt for like you can with 3.5. As an example say I want to swear while I'm talking with chat gbt 4 and I'd like it to be able to swear as well. You can do this easily with 3.5 but with 4and 4.0 no sir nada. I've tried a lot of different things and so for I keep getting these scripted responses about I can't this I can't that and it became super mechanically. If you ask it to behave in a more flirtatious manner like it does in the KZbin videos that they showed off it will likewise put the hammer down and say no I can't do that LOL. On average the so-called free access to 4.0 I'm getting about five interactions then I get cut off where I'm a free member. The difference between 3.5 and four in regards its ludicrous censoring system is night and day. I understand censoring for basic safety like preventing it to give you information for illegal to activity. But let's say you want to have a conversation with the voice model and you don't want to talk to it like you're a 12-year-old on a playground it would be nice to use the new model instead of having to switch back to 3.5. I love the new voice system or else I'd say screw it and use something like silly Tavern. Ironically enough a couple of times I've had the program behaving way human and then forget despite I saved the chat log. How does this memory system work in case I can use it to have the AI behave in a more human manner so far the only thing I know about is the chat log and I don't know if any way to make a backup of the chat log and then drag and drop it back into the system. Only way I know how to save the chat log is in the chat log system on there website. I don't know of any way to take a chat log and bring it back into the system from outside.

You omit to mention all the important information on how to install WordCloud and how to use it with Python. By just input your text into ChatGPT does not work at all... at least not with my paid ChatGPT 4o

Word Cloud is not something that needs to be installed. It is already installed as part of a library that Code Interpreter (the python tool can use). Just asking ChatGPT to make a word cloud using the python tool should be enough, but if that does not work, ask it to use Matplotlib (the exact name of the library that creates word clouds) for you. If GPT-4o gives you trouble (it is very stubborn) then try with GPT-4, it can do the same but you will not get that interactive window frame that I showed you. Only 4o can do that.

@@IversusAI aaah I see, yes the rag-algorithm for browsing was terrible until the last gpt4 update! I’ve noticed 4o is so much more competent when it comes to this, still having a bit of a hard time figuring out how to naturally nudge it into using search without me explicitly asking for it
