I found your channel a few days ago. Really great content and presentation. I’ve been using GPT since it came out. The amount of progress as been simply amazing. I grew up with dyslexia, diagnosed back in the second grade. Undiagnosed all these years with ASD and ADHD. I’m 45 now but I have a completely new outlook look on life as barriers are being lifted for me. I can’t stress enough how incredibly fast things are about to change in the next few years for anyone who is willing to learn and explore. =]

💥 I use the Chatgpt Voice model 4 for 1 year now. Hands free. It looks like people didn't know it already existed on their phones. The new Chatgpt 4o is just an update for the older version adding a camera, and better voices. The problem is that people always used it only typing. They didn't know it had voice. 😅😅

@@DihelsonMendonca It is new, though. The current voice is just a TTS. It can't catch nuances in the voice, it can't sing, nor can it change drastically the way it talks like the new voice.

The camera icon is what I'm looking for when checking to see if I got the new model. However, I wonder if the new voice model will come before/separately from the vision model? If that's the case, the camera button won't be there. They could at least send us a notification or something lol

The GPT-4o model natively integrates sound and image at input and output, therefore its responses are almost instantaneous, which is the great novelty for me. Having to wait 5 seconds for each interaction kills the game.

@@DihelsonMendonca Everyone knows about this. In GPT-40, the voice has significantly improved. Moreover, the voice feature doesn't work well in the free plan; it's very glitchy and slow for free users!!

It might be just a matter of hardware capabilities of the device: in OpenAI presentation, they are using iPhones - your device is an Android. I'm not talking about iOS vs Android, I'm saying that your particular Android model might does not have enough hardware capabilities provided by its manufacturer in order to fulfill a GPT-4o requirements.

I think this real-time voice things is Vaporware. No one has received access to it and no one will. I think the AI on the demo was either pre-recorded or there was a person on the other end, probably the former. I get the AI being able to detect a smile, but that it could detect that someone's hair was messed up saying, he looked like he’d been coding all night, that’s a bit suspicious. With all the shenanigans going on at OpenAI, I would not surprise me if that demo was BS. I’d love to be wrong but I doubt it.
