Yes we can, as .fbx it might take long time to export but it should be possible. Author will make tutorial soon. Just typping it here in case anyone was curious about this too.

I already uploaded the Tutorial on exporting to unreal. Gltf worked best for unreal.

Thank you for the video. In the CityGenGlass material in Unreal I do not see the BaseColorTexture paremeter. How do you make it available. I see in the Parent MI_Transmission_DS.

I was telling my friend the other day you should add like a bunch of different styles of city assets similarly to how you added the Hong Kong one. and yoiu could get really creative and do like apocalyptic city, futuristic city ( kinda of like you cyber punk city addon) or like retro future city. Just and idea :) this addon is amazing and i love it !

He said you can, but he is going to do a video on it. However, the scenes may crash Blender during export if you do too much at one time. I am assuming that onces you realize the instances, you can simp.y export them in section, maybe a couple blocks at a time. I am just guessing at the amount, but yes, you will be able to.

For anyone wondering, I am running an RTX2070, and I can put together several blocks before the viewport gets sluggish, which I couldn't do with the prior version. So yesh, this is much more optimized. Also, if I engage the layout edit mode, I can put it a whole lot more. So if anyone has a more powerful computer than mine, which is definitely outdated, you can certainly run this on it with no problems. BTW, if anyone is having issues after hitting the 'Separate Buildings', check to see if you did it in Edit Mode. I did, and all the buildings vanished, just leaving the plane. So, I think it has to be engaged in Object Mode. When i did that, there were no issues. The only disappointment was that it comes with a single vehicle, so I am waiting for the next video to see how we can add custom vehicles. I already have several vehicle add-ons, so it would be interesting to see if I can simply use those that come in both high and low poly versions. In the next update it would be cool if The City Generator came with camera culling. That would also aid Viewport performance. But I like the product, especially since it allows you to input your own designed buildings. Using this product certainly gives you a headstart in creating your environment. But bear in mind that to accommodate performance, the textures are not photo-realistic with all the displacement etc etc. It is a sufficient trade off for me. If I need a specific street where close-up action is unfolding, I can model that. So yeah, I approve of The City Generator.

Hi, Which version of Blender are you using? I'm using 4.3, but having an issue where the new options (park, advanced options) disappear as soon as i add or do anything outside the City Gen. Didn't have this issue with the original version so trying to work out if it's something wrong my end. :)

@paulwebb311 I am using 4.3. I didn't really use the first City Generator much because my system couldn't handle alot. I didn't notice the issue you were having when I was editing in the advanced section. Possibility I didn't get as in-depth as you might have. I will look out for that the next time I get to open it.

@@s.patterson5698 Cool thank you - it works absolutely fine if i just use the addon, until i do something else - even just adding a cube. once I do that i lose all the new features in the City Generator (Park Settings/Advanced) . It's very strange. If you get a chance later would be nice to know if it's just me. It's a great addon, and likely just something I'm doing that's messing it up.

The Settings only work if you have the city selected. Maybe you still had the other object selected.

@paulwebb311 I tried it last night and didn't encounter the issue you mentioned. Everything worked after adding the cube or other items while in the Park settings. On another matter, One thing to look out for while editing buildings is that sometimes the corners break, and you will actually have a gap. I found that simply dragging a couple of edges to adjust the size tends to solve it.

This looks AWESOME! I would probably end up switching for my own assets though just because the game I'm making is set in the United Kingdom, so buildings etc will look very different How does this work with slopes? Or curved/bendy roads? Thats my other question, as British cities aren't laid out in "blocks" like they are in the US
