I've had nothing but trouble with my 54" Yard Commander. Mesh rips easily, vibrates enough to lose bolts, axle has broken twice, brush height adjustment won't stay in place unless you really tighten hard, and the two posts that keep the hopper up keep falling out! I've had mine less than 4 years and had to fix almost everything on it. I removed the rope because it kept dropping in front of the sweeper and binding on the brushes. Good thing to note for almost all lawn sweepers, don't go faster than 5mph (as warned in the manual, but only an ATV has a speedometer), don't turn sharp because the wheels are attached through the axle and they need to turn at the same speed or you risk too much torsion on the axle and it breaks where the screws go through it, and don't lower the sweeper into the grass more than 1/2" or you'll break your axle. Yard Commander is junk. Your video is 2ys old, what do you think of Yard Commander now?

I haven't had any problems with mine. Just have to maintain it like anything else, make sure things are together and tight. Only thing that has happened to me is the rope getting caught up in the sweeper lol. That was a pain but hey, you learn. I still use it, on my own property and on some customers properties as well. Still working strong!

Great clip man. What blades are you using? I recently bought a 636 and I don’t like the cut, it’s got stock blades. I’ve seen other videos of ppl complaining about the cut quality of stocks too.

Congratulations on your 636M. Love this mower. Regarding blades, I just use what deere had with it. I have had no issues with the blades. I have a few sets of mulching blades as well but honestly, I like the stock straight blade. Even with them and my grassflap, they mulch up leaves and debris like there is no tomorrow. Yah I bought one , a field tuff 125 lbs. From Amazon Used it 4 times , once a year in the spring to spread my crab grass fertilizer . Everytime I went to use it the next year it was broke or fail while I was using it . I have 5 acres, to fertilize. Had a nice set up with the controller bolted on my control panel on my turf tiger and a modified removable vertically receiver on the front . Washed and cleaned it after of every use , stored it in side the last time I tried to use it after replacing the seized up motor the previous year, the on off switch had a short in it when I hooked it up . Replaced that went to take a practice run with about 40 lbs of fertilizer in it , the motor wouldn’t spin went to close the shoot and the cable kinks leaving a trail of fertilizer back to my barn . This spread is still mint condition. Made in China disposable JUNK . There’s 5 brands made by the same place . I’m buying a JRCO $1.500.00 but you get what you pay for . Good luck Bubba you always what to consult your professional landscaper before you start any projects .

I own a landscape company, but I just rigged it up for my property . I cut and fertilize about 5 acres . I have a 80 lb Guide Gear one the I had for 20 years that has been a great piece of equipment, then I wanted to get the bigger one , what a lemon . I didn’t know but Amazon had refunded my money after a year . It’s been a long time but it broke the first time I used it . I must of called them for warranty info , but Amazon is cool .

I just wanted to post this helpful hint, hack or trick which ever you want to call it. You do not have to take off the drive belt pulley or cut the screw post like in another video. I watched several videos someone made a comment after he had his belt on, that he had seen one that suggested lubing the back side of the belt and you could slide it in. I was like ok lets try that, shiot it worked. I took some 3 in 1 oil, put some on the flat side of the belt, then pinched in between the pulley and the post at angle to start. Grabbed the pulley and went back and forth and back and forth and it started to work its way down. Then took a piece or plywood, 8" long, 2 1/2" wide and 3/8 thick, put in on top of the belt and hammered with my 3/8" ratchet, it worked its way in just fine. Took about a minute. Good luck with it. I just hope I remember how I did it when I need to do it again

Nice equipment! One thing you need is a skid steer roller to roll out the driveway gravel. A year or two ago I saw a guy using one on a parking lot. I stopped and asked and he has a local welding shop make it. It really did the job. Take care. Tom

@@MBGAdventures his was actually a 24 inch diameter pipe that had 1 inch wall. He had it just wider than his skid steer to cover that tracks when he pulled it backwards. He had it made at his local welding fabricator who had made rollers for local ranchers, but just had the skid steer quick attach mounts on it. He had the bucket and land plane like yours but also had the roller. Smoothed the gravel out nicely. Take care! We have been dodging tornados and hail here in Oklahoma!

It's a great collection system but expensive. The bags are fine but yes, smaller. One good thing with the bags, you can empty them each into the back of your truck. The other collection system, if you can back onto a dump trailer, great but otherwise you have to dump on the ground and shovel up. Same here in Southern Ontario Canada were I am, lots of rain. Hello Ottawa! This is a great brush cutter. Very solid. I had no idea that there is an optional front guage wheel for this. Sure, I think it would help to know it's level on uneven ground. Yes, MK Martin matched the hydro motor to the machines specs and worked perfect. I have traded in the Brush Cutter since as no one wants to pay for the service around here anymore. If heavy equipment is required then the higher the chance of getting the better pay cheque... Those as you already have done you have to put out a lot more. I went to bid on a lawn this past week and it will take at least 55 minutes solo and you will be tired at the end of it because it is a corner lot and has sidewalks on both sides. I only priced it at 62$ by mistake and she said My price was way off and she already got quotes for 40$ Your making the right choice in my mind......
