The second clip - with Murphy jumping over the blue - i always thought that was a foul, to deliberately make the cue ball leave the bed of the table?

You are right it's illegal to jump over a ball to hit the object ball. But it's NOT ALWAYS illegal to have a ball leave the surface of the table.

@mjowsey yeah and that is why I am confused - I didn't hear the ref call foul, Williams stays in his seat, and when the clip ends it looks like Murphy is walking round to take his next shot. Unless the angle is deceiving and he didn't actually jump the blue?

Some good shots in here, but take the Judd Trump shot at 3:15 - it was a great shot, but zero mention it was with his right hand, which made it even more impressive. The guy is left handed, and if you're gonna inject context, you could mention key stuff like that.

I'm honestly not getting why people are applauding the first shot. The pink was right over the pocket and he MISSED it, and everyone applauded the fact. He's a nice player, too, seen him before. Why did everyone treat him like that? Don't get people sometimes. Chris.

Time for a eye check my friend, it was impossible to legally pot with the black next to it, would have hit the black first. You'd be right if the black wasn't blocking the potting angle, but he had no choice but to do what he did, that's why everyone clapped as it was a hard shot to execute

3:23 With a 'shot to nothing' like this the intention is to leave the cue ball safe on the baulk cushion - getting behind the brown was the result of the shot going badly wrong and pure luck!
