As for "???" - that's the portable cartridge holder. If you want to swap between (fast) black-only, or (slow) color cartridges, you keep the other one (that's not in the printer) in that sealed container when you travel with it. I had a BJC-50 printer I carried around in high school like a gigantic nerd, and I'd swap out the scanner attachment (replaces the print head with a scan head) and color print head in that holder.

Can the CPU be upgraded on the G4? It doesn't look like it can. Found a tossed out iMac G4 recently, not sure if it works.

I have to say that my whole world was evolved around this device in my early after school life. I long so much for those days. You have brought some HUGE memories to me. Listening to Armin van Buuren' s early episodes of ASOT which were so rare back in those days. I didn't even have an internet and was so thankful to anyone who brought me some new music. I could never get enough of this. Since then I have owned several ipods, smartphones and a Mac computer but NONE of these devices brought me so much fun, enjoynment, excitement and honor to own than this. It read my most favorite device ever. WOW!

Hi guy, I know why it is not faster with ssd: your SATA to ide adapter is limited to 33Mhz bus instead of 133Mhz bus: you need to replace the adapter with a more performant one 😕

I remember seeing this at apple store when it first came out & wanted to get one. I would go to walmart to buy the black one like this. Only thing I hated about itunes back in the day is when you used someone elses computer to put songs on your ipod it will erase what you built up.
