TBH the film wasn't that unexpected, it was entirely logical. They were in essence to 90's, what The Beatles were to the 60's. The Beatles at their height also released a number of films, with their albums serving as the soundtrack. In essence Spice World was a vehicle for the music and the band and worked perfectly as a marketing exercise. They also had their finger in every single pie possible at that point you're talking crisps, sweets, body spray, soft drinks etc, so a film was a no brainer and a licence to print even more money. The context really is important when viewing the film. That aside the film is a complete camp classic and works on a surprisingly meta level and as a perfect time piece capturing a moment in time that was fleeting.

Physical media is a niche at this point like vinyl. I'll spring for collector's editions when it's a movie I really like. I don't really think 4K is that big of an improvement over Blu-ray. But I have been getting stuff through Vudu (now FandangoNow) for years and I haven't lost access to anything. I have also been buying music through Apple for years and all my purchases remain. Stuff that has been de-listed is still in my library. And the quality is good enough to give me a cinematic experience in my home. The thing that turned me off of discs is that you buy a 4K and most of the time it skips and pixelates or just straight up doesn't play. That and a 4K Blu-ray player is still over $300 new. And it's just Sony and Panasonic at this point. If they can't get new people on board and sell players then the tech will remain stagnant.

3 years ago popular bluray titles on ebay were $3-7, now the same titles (on bluray) are $10-20 in 2024. People are realizing physical is better in pretty much every way. And that's not even mentioning 4k blurays. But I have several bluray disc's that look superior to the UHD streaming version. Audio is always better on physical as well. Pawn shops are by far the cheapest place to score blurays. They pay about .50 cents per bluray when they buy them so if you buy multiple at a time they'll likely sell then around $1-4 per movie

They take films off periodically who knows what bullshit shows, and film theyll put up instead, its orwellian as hell to me, it seems nefarious when there is even free film streaming to get people more onboard. As for gaming look at the Ps5 pro not having a disc drive unless you pay extra talk about BS.

This is a very ironic video. You just assume that all “Film Bros” can’t see the point of Fight Club and you tell us how they see it. And Pulp Fiction is one of the deepest and most layered movies of all time. It’s not just a “stylish” movie or a cool movie. All of Tarantino’s work is exceptionally deep.

Bluey is a good modern kids show, i do agree there needs to be less villains, because it shows kids that its everyone else thats the problem instead of having personal responsibility for actions,im not saying that there cant be villains, but after marvel we need some movies that communicate personal responsibility instead of only fighting just because there's an outside force disrupting the status quo.

What was so "sickening and shocking" about the movie exactly?
@kritpickproductions
@kritpickproductions 4 күн бұрын
@@irwincardozo6713 Well you hear about these very explicit atrocities that happened to 3 young, teenage girls and then you get the express privilege of listening to those atrocities take place. Plus, there's a scene of the protagonist dressing up as one of the girls to taunt the Mother and even breaks into their house and takes photos in the dead girls bedroom. She takes pleasure in buying the recording of the third girls torture and murder and burns her whole life to do it. Those I would consider quite shocking and sickening, among other moments.

Yeah I enjoy the convenience of Digital for games I know I’ll play once and never again, and I live 40 minutes drive away from any store that sells video games. But even with the whole “not owning” the game aside, which is a serious issue, I just like having the physical case and popping that disc into my console. It’s just a way better experience for my attachment to the game.

hope you're a punk because if not there's a lot of dumb points in here, your review and analysis of the movie is fine, but I've been a punk my whole life, im 30 now, and the jabs at punk and anarchism dont go unnoticed to me, being an anarchist is standing for an "empty image"??? why? anarchism is a real political theory with real world applications, and punk is not just being yourself, there's a couple of things attached to that, like DIY ethics, anti corporatism, anti capitalism etc. see, the reason that stevo's logic fail it's because he never defined "the system" and, as pointed out in the movie, every living thing works inside a system, what punks and anarchists are trying to do is CHANGE the system, not live outside of it, like he was. The system for us is capitalism, nationalism, religious dogma, we fight against that to change it for a system that we thing is better for everyone, in this case, anarchy. Again anarchy IS NOT disorder or chaos, anarchy is a political system in which the means of productions are in hands of the collective, where there are no leaders or authority figures, no hierarchies, everyone is equal in power, everyone is an individual, that's what stevo missed, he's rebelling without a structure, without theory, or without a goal, he was, definitely, a poser.

If it's for children. It's ok to add some mature themes. So, when they get older, they can understand them. I had cases where I would watch something I watched before many years ago and I would all the sudden understand what they meant. And when I say mature, I don't really mean vulgar sex scenes or bloody violence. But moreover, messages that have deeper meanings or giving the audience an inspiring lesson. Also I'm surprised this video is like almost 2 years old and not like a few months old cause dang it's so underrated.
@paradoxtatorstudios9681
@paradoxtatorstudios9681 11 күн бұрын
Yeah, I feel like people have a distorted concept of what mature means. It doesn't always mean liking gore and violence and sex and nudity means you're mature (in fact, I see that a lot of the time that stuff is actually depicted in a very immature way) it means being able to rationalize, admit when you're wrong, make good decisions, etc. In the case of movies, it's about teaching lessons like those. The "its just for kids" mindset is unbearably sad; it just screams negligence, that people don't care about kids mental growth or even their (healthy) enjoyment. Who wants to grow up and realize the movies they liked as kids where just mindless slop, instead of memorable, meaningful gems they can appreciate more and more aspects of as they age? Like.. animation should not be about looking pretty and being an overstimulating set of keys to distract your kids for 2 hours. It's a medium for telling stories. Something the entire industry nowadays has lost sight of, sadly.
