I'll be honest. I've been following bands since 93,94, when i 1st heard my High school band, i fell in love and was hooked and been a bandhead ever since. to this very day, I still don't know a damn thing about the drummers or their battles. I've even seen what i would guess were heated or intense drum battles but they still it's mostly banging and beating for the most part. I even remember back in Highschool, when i 1st saw a band's drumline playing while the opposing band played. Even the home team's crowd of the band who's drums were playing were angry.

they really do need to recruit girls for separate twirling, flags and dance. in my day (a&t in the 70s) we had separate short flags, long flags, and majorettes. majorettes in those days were twirlers. there were no dancers in the band.

Lol No band ever has a response for it. 2019 we played Lion King against MMB, and they tried to counter it with Trap Avengers. 2021 - AOT theme, no response. 2022- Spain & Gohan's Anger, no counter 2023 - The Rumbling, & Hogwarts Legacy, no countee 2024 - XLTT & Cowboy Bebop, "the door left open"?! Lol Hilarious! Lol

This was the best band day I ever had!! I was down there with the drum majors! I was in the purple with blonde hair. Everyone there was so welcoming and sweet and willing to teach!❤️❤️ If I had an option to do this again, I’d definitely come back! 10/10

The crazy thing about it the section for maab we didn’t even use the whole line due to the size we originally had but I love the reaction maab and Memphis has a deep history and I’m hoping to see more sections next summer 💪🏾🤲🏾

2nd round. i didn't care for either song. However. if i had to choose a song i liked better it would be drowning. and i hate to say that because i was soo sick of hearing that song. But that song Gamb played was Just not it for me at all. It reminds me of that tv show from the 70's or 80's. this detective show,like inspector gadget, Barnaby Jones or something. The way i look at it is. If someone was to torture me by playing either of those songs over and over. Which song would drive me crazy the fastest... Playing drowning over and over would greatly irritate the hell out of me, But i definitely think hearing that gamb song over and over would drive me crazy faster. Both bands sounded good playing their songs, so it came to song selection. And since i disliked both songs, I have to pick the song that i disliked the least. So Drowning won that round to me.

In a way, I'm glad these battles are going the way they are. Mmb Winning some, Noasb winning some and Gamb winning some. Imo that makes it more exciting. Because i honestly believe if there were a consistent reign of 1 band over all the others. Soon it would become boring to people because they'll know what to expect. But since there's this rotation of different bands taking the top spot. It make it much more exciting and raise the anticipation for Summer battles. 1 thing i will say. I give Gamb lots of credit. Even though i sometimes hate doing it because their egos get waay too big, and they expect everyone to bow down and worship them just because they won a battle. You can't just say they won because you'll be a "hater". They don't just want the glory of winning, they expect praise and worship instead. But i digress. What i will say is, Imo, they have made summer bands more exciting. because honestly before Gamb came in the mix, I was not as excited for Summer band because i already knew pretty much the outcome. But there is and always have been this heavy rivalry between New Orleans and Atlanta. i noticed this as a child, LONG before allstar bands., way back in like the late 80's early 90's. at Summer camp.

Yes.. this has been the season of mistakes. Mistakes and tempos issues have been passing around every bands like an Std in an orgy this yr. More than other years.. I'm really good at pattern recognition and here's something i've noticed. It's kind of strange how NOASB, and GAMB seem to do better if they travel than they do for their home battles. There's only maybe 1 battle Gamb won at home. And it seems NOASB, particularly when it comes to Gamb, they do better in Georgia than they do at home. Or better yet. When NOASB play gamb at home, They always win the field battle but lose the stands battle, But in Georgia, they won the stands battle. I was thinking at 1st, maybe it's because Gamb just does better in the stands than on the field. But last year disproved that theory. I don't know why it is, but it seems that these 2 bands particularly are not their best against each other at home. Maybe it's because they feel more comfortable at home and is more relaxed and don't take the threat too seriously. That's a theory. but i don't know for certain why that is. If i had to give a prediction. I would say if NOASB battle Gamb in Georgia next year, NOASB will take the win.

GAMB definitely took the W. The arrangements, BALANCE, blend, total package. I really want some folk to stop believing that LOUD is better. NOLA wasn’t as clean and per usual… the whole note stabs throughout most of their arrangements- it just gave “typical” and we need more. No shade to NOLA at all.. they are good, but GAMB was just better 🤷🏽‍♂️
