My opinion on the battle is it's a tie but I give hats off to New Orleans by having 80% high school students in the band Memphis did a good job both bands had their ups and downs I agree the trumpets need to stop hanging over but I am proud of the trumpet section 98% of the trumpet players from New Orleans or high school students

We from Arkansas so understand this is non biased. My whole thing is some of these comments you have for New Orleans is coming off like you don’t really know real music. They played Chaka and Maxwell and you saying they mid is crazy. I can understand you talking execution but to say they mid on their strongest old school selections is wild

Respect fam I like your analysis of the battle but your view on the trumpets for MMB may be something you are not used to but they are very good bro. I believe it’s just a different style but Deonte is a trumpet player himself right. But I think what you’re hearing is how he is writing the arranged part for the trumpets. It seems like trumpets go in and out from supporting other parts to shining then going back to supporting. The chord structure seems like it’s set up for the trumpets to pick their spots unless they carrying the melody. We both know summer band bro them trumpets gon act stupid.

To me there should be a limit to the madness tho. Last year trumpets were pushing it but this year let’s just say I am trying to give them time to get it together.

I mess with you bruh but you had to be there the video does no justice. Mmb trumpets was killing. Noasb was going through the motions and was off. Everything was mid I was in person. Memphis gave it to those boys. Your ear ain't where you think it is. If you play drums you'll unya trumpet. I play mello and trumpet them boys was bringing it.
