I just found your Taiwan series and it’s been so helpful!! I’m planning out my Taipei shopping and no one else on my trip is into anime so I had to do my research 😂 it’s neat also that you can get by just fine mostly without Mandarin - my listening comprehension is fine but I’m so rusty at speaking that I’m intimidated 😂 also I love that you used Kerning Square music in your Taiwan vlogs!! esp since IIIRC it was always supposed to be Taiwan in maplestory 😌

Did you guys make a reservation online? I saw that when making a reservation they needed a card on file. Does this essentially allow you to prepay for your meal or did you have to present a card still after the meal?

We did make a reservation online beforehand. However I don't remember inputting a card. Perhaps it's a new requirement. Usually though for systems like this, you still pay for your meal at the location. But doesn't hurt to ask them.

The rule I saw was closed toe shoes, but always double check their dress code on their website. For reference I was in shorts at the time.

Yes the street view is different but you just find the sign and stairs to go up to 2nd floor.

Yes, you will be asked for a reservation upon arrival. Better to have it reserved ahead of time in case.

Looking back at the footage, it's prob the pattern or the fact it's a general lobby with ppls shoes on. It didn't feel dirty at the time. And I assure you our room was very good and well kept.

Love those arcades, but I noticed the arcardes in the countryside are usually cheaper. Where Tokyo arcades usually cost 200 Yen a play, arcades further out usually only charge 100 yen. This applies to crane games as well, so if you have the chance...

Most of the stores I visited at least seemed to have official figures imported from Japan. The PS5/Switch stores are super legit. The retro game stores seemed legit and played just fine on my systems.
