Sometimes, feeling numb comes from being stuck in a routine that doesn’t excite you. Try something new, a hobby or even just a different way of looking at things. You might stumble onto something that sparks a feeling, maybe you could start by focussing on small things that could make you feel a tiny bit better, You’re not stuck like this forever. The fact that you’re questioning these patterns shows that you’re capable of growth. Be patient with yourself.

You have more doors open to you than most people do, on account of your looks and your youth - it's just a fact
@simplymaciee6 күн бұрын
thats kind of a fucked up thing to say. Being a good looking person doesn't make you immune to life's problems. Everyone has their share of pain and difficulties in life, and its the same for everyone according to what they can handle. Besides, telling someone clearly struggling with something that they have it easier than others does not do anything and does not help at all, makes shit worse in fact.

I get it. I have a sister who has gone through what you say you are going through and it sucks. Even to this day she just doesn't feel emotions the way that so many of do. But, she got through it!!! with the help and understanding of family (me) and friends. Somehow she persevered and got through. You have to make up YOUR own mind that you WILL NOT let this define you and that you WILL get through it. There is a saying by Maya Angelou: "This to shall pass". Not many words but OH SO DEEP! you are still so young, don't take everything so serious, find a way to enjoy life and let happiness into your heart. There plenty of us out here sending you our thoughts and strength, open your self up and let it in. We are here all you need to do is reach out.

So stop chasing your own thoughts around in circles, go to an art gallery or a beautiful church and chill. Then work out what those artworks are trying to say. The same goes for classical music by which I mean formal and structured music (Bach, Haydn etc.). Don't overthink it, just let it wash past you, just watch it being there.

I can relate. Sometimes I'm like, "What's the point of doing this or that?" or "What's the point in general?" My mom was arguing with me yesterday about laying in bed, watching KZbin constantly. She was like, "Where's the growth in watching whatever you watch and lie in bed? There's no growth! You want to be like someone that you're not, sorry, but you're not!" That just irked me, even tho I didn't say anything to her, it low-key made me mad yet sad. And yet, for a brief moment as I went downstairs to get my laundry, I saw her lying on the couch watching TV. Like, I always have to come back to reality, and want to DO something with my life, instead of fantasizing about becoming someone else or wishing I had a certain personality trait that someone else had, or wish I was traveling the world instead of working. Sorry I was venting a little bit. Just wanted to get this off my chest and talk to someone.

There probably is a core reason why you feel this way. I think you need to figure out what’s affected you so much that you’re disillusioned with life at the moment. Some sort of trauma when you were younger may have a lot to do with how you feel now. But you also need to give yourself a break and don’t be so hard on yourself dude, self TLC is important.

Clearly you are one of the few who think deeply and who has a very sensitive conscience. The unraveling of an adult person from a child is something that all go through in their teens and for many it is not a massive wrench but in you it is. You really need to have friends/peers to talk to. If you lack these friends, well make them. I was very isolated until I started rock climbing at an indoor gym and made good friends with people who shared an interest - it could be any activity.

The only problem with big goals is that someone or some thing or event comes along and throws a monkey wrench in the plans. So much of what we accomplish in life is through luck or happenstance. It’s okay to dream big and have lofty goals, but be prepared to fail start over. That’s an integral part of life and personal growth. Small goals are best, but as you get older, none of that really works. You just KNOW what you have to do without referring to some list of things to accomplish.

100% - Playing it safe will leave us behind. You're very accurate in what you say. Having it all worked out before beginning is impossible. What I have found helps best is to establish a principle based framework. A framework isn't overbearing, it's not overly complex, and isn't tangible, but instead provides a basic structure to help guide the process, something to use as reference to align to that links up with our values and ideals. I think you're great. I'd put you on a feature channel and invest in your development. I'd pay just to have you in the same room bouncing developmental thoughts and ideas around. Valuable character you possess.
