After almost 10 years, it was my son who reached out to me. I had finally given up hope. We have reconciled but moving slowly as I feel I’m still a little bit on probation. Have yet to see my grandchildren now 16 and 20, but able to send cards and gifts, at least. It’s a bittersweet struggle.

Wow! I thought we were happy or at least I was. Then on his bday at his Favorite Restaurant while ordering our drinks and food he just blurted out all these ugly things. He said I was fat, ugly, bow legged and that he is not into me. Really after almost 3 years and you just realized this??? I tried not to show how hurt I was by all that he was saying to me that I think I blocked some of what was said. I just sat there drinking my Margarita after Margarita not wanting to accept what he just told me. I spent $170.00 on Food and Drinks only to be told that " he needed space and wanted to see other Women." That's what I get for befriending a Widower that was always outside his home crying to his Dogs about the Loss of his Wife. I too am a Widow. I just thought we had this bond as Friends and Lovers. Honestly.... I have never ever heard those thing being said about me. 😮
