The obvious comp to this apartment is the one Roy Hofheinz built for himself in the Astrodome in the 1960s. It was much more opulent and gaudy than this.

Even as the state of Kansas 3-4 miles west of arrowhead on the Kansas City Kansas side of the Kansas City State line ( the team is on the Missouri side of Kansas City Missouri remember the state line for Kansas and Missouri goes down the middle of the city basically) are willing to fund a new stadium for them but they aren’t jumping on it. You’d think they too because They know it would be approved etc fast because it’s the same area the area just happens to have the state line go down the middle. They’d still be in Kansas City. Not rebranding etc. But since there is no way a new stadium even if it’s only 2% funded by public would be allowed to have an apartment for the owner inside. Would have to be 100% funded by the hunts nowadays to get a new apartment and despite being the second richest owner in the NFL he is too cheap to do 100% of it or even 1% of it so they don’t want to move!! The only reason it got approved in the 1960s is because Kansas City Missouri at the time was so desperate to get a football team so that was part of the deal. Because remember in the 1960s, you had three TV stations nationwide and one newspaper in Kansas City so who’s gonna report it to make some outrag?! No one! Anyway If they were smart now they would say well arrowhead is the Fenway of football because it’s the second oldest stadium in nfl football. But instead they just say I don’t wanna stadium. And well now you know why they don’t wanna lose their apartment!! Maybe they’re being smart and not calling at the Fenway football because if they somehow get a new apartment approved by the state of Kansas, then who would want to bulldoze the Fenway of football?? That might be smarter than I’m guessing. Or I am haha. The family live in Texas and only come up to KC for a few games a year. Till they started getting good and they never came up. I wouldn’t be surprised if hunt hired Andy Reid just so he didn’t have to do anything ever and never have to come up KC. But once The Astrodome got huge public money for a remodel like 40 years ago, that was the first thing removed. Somehow, the Hunts got public money for a remodel 20 years ago and kept the apartment and they sucked back then so they’re not pushing their luck this time.

Very interesting. I never flew with US Airways but I know they had a really bad reputation and were known for old planes, rude staff, delays, awful service and losing more luggage than any other airline. Miracle on the Hudson somehow enhanced their reputation. I remember reading about their plans to buy Delta and thinking it was a really bad idea.

As a kid growing up in LA in the 1950s and 60s, I remember seeing the big LA Airways Sikorskys flying their regular routes on a daily basis. With the coming of commercial jet travel, it seemed the addition of regularly scheduled helicopter commuting was to be just the next logical step in the unstoppable advancement of civil aviation progress. Then came all the high profile helicopter crashes such as the ones on the Disneyland route and the one in Manhattan that ended up smashing into the sky scraper heliport. All that brought an end to helicopter commuting for over half a century. Only now is technological advancement promising to bring back local commuting by air with the new eVTOL aircraft with a new name: Advanced Air Mobility.

I can't wait to see my first Lions game at Ford Field this season December 5th v Green Bay. I've seen concerts here and also saw the Buffalo Bills vs. New York Jets game in 2014 that got snowed out, but this will be my first Lions football game here. Very excited. This stadium did a very good job of blending itself in with the surrounding areas.

DO NOT BUY THIS CAMERA! I bought this camera earlier this year. It will not charge up the battery. I contacted their customer service and explained the problem they told me to try it with the included cable which I did. I went to a battery store who tested the battery and they said the battery was fine it just wasn't being charged up. So the camera charging unit is defective. When I went back on their website to try to talk to them it disconnects you after telling you to call that same number in Spanish. This is one of these shady companies that are just trying to make a quick Buck.

I was there working for the media as a stat runner. Katy feeny was our boss chub feenys daughter. Was the most amazing experience in my life. We were working out of a room on the mezzanine level a room with no windows below the upper deck and above the lower deck. I thought for sure we were going to become human pancakes. Thank God for the upgrade or thousands more may have died or been seriously hurt that day. I never completely realized this until I watched this video. 🙏 🙏 🙏

Probably the only guy here but the stadium looks fine. A stadium looks best when filled up to the brim with fans shoulder to shoulder. When stadiums look fragmented and show empty spaces caused by corporate or luxury suites, it looks ugly and the upper bowl seats are pushed outward and further from the field. But yeah, it probably does need a roof
