Very good video. Well presented. I am familiar with the incident, and this video suppliments nicely what I already knew. Thanks.

That was Roosevelt's biggest mistake he put American Citizens in those internment camps. This was a terrible mistake. He didn't put German Citizens in internment camps and they shouldn't.

Why would you send confidential documents out on a plane, nothing should have left the Carriers that was not needed for the mission. Your Bombing Pearl.... ラジャ "Roger" be back in a few hours.

@ I knew a woman who was in Manzanar concentration camp. And she would tell you that it was a concentration camp. If the government had imprisoned Germans and Italians internment camps would apply. But we put people in camps based on the way they looked.

Anytime I hear somebody talk about the interment camps as if we did that for no reason I point out this incident. Good or bad it wasn’t done without a reason.

@@mcgoon8027 look up the Duquesne spy ring, 33 convicted on Dec 13, 1941. By your reasoning, German Americans and Jewish Americans should have be rounded up and incarcerated as well.

2:34 Actually, no. Given Nishikaichi's limited English, the reason the islanders sent for Shintani was because the latter spoke fluent Japanese.
