This was exactly what I needed to hear. I recently learned the frenzel technique from a molchanov short. i had it confused with handsfree. when i saw alexei pinch his nose and building pressure in his nostrils. my mind was blown. when i tried to copy it and it worked building pressure even better than valsalva my mind was super blown!!! but what you said was what i needed to hear; that between 20 and 30 meters valsalva becomes very difficult which is what i've been experiencing for quite some time, thinking there was perhaps something wrong with me. I could tell right away from the ease at which i could produce copious amounts of ear pressure that this was going to be a huge game changer now! and yeah, i've had some issues telling if i was doing it correctly in the water or if my usual insticts for valsalva were kicking in, but as you've said at the end, a way i can test it is to try and do it on vacuum. neat idea. still the coolest og freediving content creator on yt.

Could you have removed the belt when you panicked to help get you to the surface faster ? Maybe add some sort of clip to the belt so you leave it on the rope and not lose it while you ascend ? Or lose it if you have to because the belt is replaceable, you aren't.

Not quite. It exploded over the Shima Clinic/ hospital was ground zero. Operated by Dr. Kaoru Shima. There are also buildings such as the Bank of Hiroshima that were the same distance as the A bomb dome that survived intact

Ha , 60% ! My ear was drilled out at about 99%. Was on table for 5 hours, ENT said worst drill out he’d done. Wore plugs for a while then stopped because I’m lazy. Now my right ear is back to about 90% and I’m going to get it drilled again. Move to warm water folks.

Just to let you all know that I physically am ok. However Freediver HD was demonetized, and my youtube partner agreement terminated. This partner ban came during Covid times, one morning I just woke up and and there was an email saying Freediver HD's youtube partnership would be terminated. No reason was given, as google says they can't share the reasoning. I appealed the decision twice over a period a a year, and my appeals was rejected. Freediver HD was a huge part of my life, and for youtube to do this to me put me into a depression and feeling of hopelessness due to the shear injustice which I am powerless against. KZbin/Google is a monopoly, and if one day their algorithm flags you for an unknown reason, they could destroy your life/business and identify, which is what they have done to me.

I've just gotten into free diving over the past year or so. Your videos, in the freediving niche are by far my favoirite on youtube. I appreciate your perspective on things and have been perplexed at the quality of your videos, how long of a time period they extend across, and the abysmal lack of views. I'm suprised to see you've commented 7 days ago. I just decided to watch this video since it's seemingly your last to see if i'd get a better understanding of your lack of appearance for years. i hope your ears have recovered enough for you to still personally be able to dive regardless of KZbin. I'm sure you've thought of this or have heard someone mention, but what if you uploaded to more creator friendly places like curiosity stream? perhaps your video style isn't enough of an educational lecture format to be accepted by them. maybe you could also try just starting a new channel. hell you could probably just remove all the content here and re upload to the new channel. either way hope things work out for you. I'd be stoked to see any kind of new dive video you make.

Weird story, I used to dive a ton and my watch died , I bought a battery kit and just never changed it because I got away from diving as much, and so after probably ten years I put an old ( new) battery kit in it and it started right up!
