It must be incredibly hard to not be able to see each other with the pianos positioned like this.

This work is so difficult even for an orchestra. Is unbelievable what can do Gryaznov with only one piano !!!!! Bravo with my admiration !!!!!

Franz Schubert did not have an easy life. Despite his exceptional talent, no recognition was given to him during his lifetime and he survived only thanks to the help of a few friends. After his death, which occurred at a very young age (only thirty-one years old), his brothers threw the scores of his works in a chest, and since very few had been published during his lifetime, they would probably have been lost, if they had not been saved by Robert Schumann, who had recognized his Genius and managed to recover the scores. Thanks to Vyacheslaw Gryaznov for the intense performance of the marvellous piano sonata D 960.

Stunning and so incredibly sensitive in the arrangement I know it's a little bit out of the Western canon, and I'm not sure if you could get access to the original to arrange from it, but if you ever want a gorgeous piece that has those behind-the-scenes complex harmony you love, I think Joe Hisaishi's "Departures" like he did with the London Symphony Orchestra would make for a wonderful piano reduction But this was spectacular. Thank you

The pause at 22:21 is the longest of any version I’ve heard, and I really like it this way! Most people jump into the next section too quickly for my taste. Awesome performance!

I love the music of Piotr Ilic Tchaikovsky, his unsurpassed melodies, that only the "Divine" Mozart can equal. I like to define, for this reason, Tchaikovsky "the poet of notes" and he, like a poet, sublimated his existential pain with the exceptional creative talent, giving all humanity masterpieces of Beauty that anyone can appreciate and love. Thanks to Russia, homeland of unparalleled poets, composers and performers. Vyacheslav Gryaznov unites, in this piano transcription of the immortal "Romeo and Juliet overture", technical perfection with the pathos and sensitivity that only a Russian can give to the work of his compatriots, giving us an interpretation of great emotion. Thanks 🧡

Lets just agree Vyacheslav is the most underrated/undiscovered pianist of our times. At least for those Chopin Etudes he is Early Pogorelich level. I can't understand for the life of me why there are no "official" recordings, of his Chopin etude at the very least. Maybe he looks like an accountant - but he plays like a rock star.

Aside from the recordings of Rachmaninov himself, I can only listen to Gryaznov and Lugansky play the legendary left-handed genius’s pieces. No other pianists come close to doing Rachmaninov’s work justice, Gryaznov and Lugansky are truly in a league of their own.

Incredible! This is like hearing 'Le Sacre...' for the first time! And then I was thinking: Stravinsky composed it on the piano, imagining the orchestra... but this is close to what his neighbors heard back then.😉

The transcription of all the little details gives me goosebumps as if the whole orchestra's playing was fully restored on a single piano. Absolute masterpiece-both transcription and performance.
