Fabulous arrangement/plianist! Love the energy of the Ebene quartet matching the pizazz of this re-imagined little gem. Oh yeah. Sorry Couperin. Just because you're long gone, doesn't mean we don't still owe you a debt of gratitude. You were a genius!

I love how he chose the encore where there are a handful of musical themes which overlap with the second movement of the concerto. Very nice touch.

That was a difficult one to listen to. I can see Liszt bored, without anything to do, decides to write something strange and uninteresting.

This was my first time listening to you playing a Beethoven/Liszt Symphony. See you at the next one, Maestro. That was a wonderful performance. I watched a Frederic Chiu Masterclass talking about Symphony No 8, and he made an interesting statement. Recording equipment only started about 100 years after Beethoven finished his Symphonies. So the Liszt transcriptions are really the only 19th century recordings available. After listening to the Masterclass. I started searching for recordings. Your interpretation is among the best I've heard. But there is no competition, only joy. Merci beaucoup.

1:35 Orchestra and piano are not playing together : there is no part played by the first violin This shows how is the first violin so important: 1st violin folows the solist and conductor follows 1rst violin ! 2:05 Synchronization is restored by first violin.
@VyacheslavGryaznovPiano28 күн бұрын
There’re no violins in the score at 1:35 - what are you talking about? they should enter exactly where they did on the recording
@theperfectpitch586023 күн бұрын
@@VyacheslavGryaznovPiano First violin does not play at 1:35 seating behind you as indicated on the score and that’s right. You are not responsible if the conductor is not able to follow you at this moment ! Thanks a lot for your playing anyway ! I really love it ! I experienced the importance of the first violin in Chopin’s concerto in E minor.

Superb articulation and gorgeous tone, the Debussy sounding phrases at 1.34 on are more Debussy than Debussy (a compliment!). You and Sokolov are my two fave living pianists as I told you at your Sunnyvale Steinway concert. You never disappoint and always uplift my spirits. Thank you.

Liszt's transcriptions are masterpieces in and of themselves. Performances like this one without smooshing things into mush and instead using minimal pedal to give great clarity. It is a joy to hear and enjoyed every minute of it.

Such a cute and lighthearted piece ( if i listen to it for the first time, without the title, I would not guss this to be Rachmaninoff's piece. According to my impression, the atmosphere of most of his pieces is usually melancholy) Thanks for sharing A good piece suitable for festival occasion

This piano sounds flat metal from the center to the right end of the piano. and is good only for modern music. Gryaznov is a great pianist to play at such a kind of pianos.
