i wonder why the view count of this video and other videos of this course are so low. this is such a wonderful course! is there any problem with youtube algorithm that videos are not shown in the search results much or there is not enough audience of the rigging course which I don't believe. probably it's the pricing tag for harmony program which keeps the general audience away from it

Cutest interview of all time!! you and your kids are so funny and adorable!! Just wanted to say thank you for the rigging course you have made. I am going thru it and it's super awesome!! Its better than paid courses available out there. my humble request to you -- make courses on cut out animation for Udemy. Udemy courses are really affordable for people like me who are learning and not making money as of yet

Hi Matt, I love this tutorial but have a question. How are you connecting the hand to the second 2 point deformer arm if at all? Thanks in advance if you have a minute.

I always come back to this tutorial for refreshers. How to add the "Scenes-Default Display" to the Node View right upper corner drop down, as you have it here, to easier change the Display nodes? I dont have it as default and always need to go the main longer route. Thanks

Do you know of a way to export start time of audio metadata without placing a marker? For example, if I made a music playlist video I want to export each song start time automatically to make chapters

Oh, where have you been! I've seen your "The Baking Potato Rigging Course" playlist like two months ago. (Sorry, i'm late ;) You were really good at teaching rigging to people, even to rookies like me. :) Then i looked at your channel and i've seen that your last video were *one year ago.* I said to myself; "I guess we just lost a great animator in the platform.." And now, you're back! You just posted 3 hours ago! ovo Ah, right. I was about to say: You are so underrated! One day, with what i learned from you, i will be a great animator in youtube! When i succeed, i will share a video like; "How i make animations" and i will introduce your channel to my Turkish and English speaking subscribers! I promise. Goodbye for now. You have a big place in my heart. I will always support you.

Thank you so much for those kind words. I've been working 50-60 hour weeks for a long time now and it's hard to find time to squeeze things like this in, but your support is a great boost to me. I am happy the videos have been helpful and I hope it won't be so long before I make another one:) Keep chasing your dream! I am glad you have a heart to share with others.

Hey there! I want to follow along with this tutorial, but I don't know what version of Toon Boom's (cough-terrible-cough) subscription plan I would need to get. Could I squeak by on Advanced or do I need to get the full package?

Great series! Great tutor! Really love your work and you're my big inspiration in pursuing to be an animator and rigger in toon boom! I have a question though. I know it's been a while since this video being uploaded but maybe you'll be able to answer :) You constructed this layered hand and a normal version of it without the layering. But you made it in such a way that if you want to move the layered one, you need to plug in those extra pegs to be able to move/animate it. But the problem is that during animation, the animator may want to switch between both of them. A system where you have to connect and disconnect the pegs won't let you do that. Because You can't actually animate this plugging in operation etc. And animating this could not be such a rare thing, you know. Like lifting something and having a layered hand, but then you need to switch to a different drawing further along the scene. Also, the animator would need to know that he needs to plug this in etc. I would rather avoid a situation where an animator needs to modify the rig as much as needed. The obvious solution would be to use sync layers instead. And on certain drawing disabling the layered hand etc. But there are some downsides to that you've mentioned in the video. But maybe you have a different workaround etc ? Any thoughts? Take care and God bless!

Hi Matt! Nice to meet you!! I loved your tutorials! Amazing! Could you please help me with my case? I have a Sausage character rig, with 2 arms. And I inserted just a vertical spaghetti deformer in it´s body, for it to look flexible. But I can´t find a single way on how to make the arm pegs pivots (aligned with individual shoulders - L / R) follow the curves and deformations of the sausage body. I mean... Everytime I move the vertical body deformer, the arms go both to Japan hahahaah! I tried all kinds of kinetic outputs, and no results =( Could you please help me on how to "stick and glue" the sausage arms to the trunk containing a deformer? PS: The arms also do have Spaghetti deformers =) Thank you very much! Mauro

Hi Matt! Thank you for this quickTip. I was wondering, that I can't select all markers with SHIFT key or CTRL+A shortcut. And also I didn't check that File -> Export -> Markers, instead of that I was trying to press CTRL+C, when I selected markers and it didn't work. I found solution, that I can export markers from Audition, but thank you, now I know how to export them from Premiere. I like your work with formulas in Excel. Also I can say, that probably you don't need to select all the markers with CTRL, because Premiere exports all markers at once in any case.

EDIT: All I had to do was to actually click on the Brush tool for the ref image to SHOW as transparent... why must toonboom be like that sometimes... The Light Table doesnt seem to be turning on transparency for me, no idea why. Checked everything and followed along. Am I missing a step in the settings? Using TB Harmony 21. And thank you for the awesome rigging tutorials!

Everything in Harmony is a pain in a-- isn't it? Be honest lol. Even trying to innocently follow along and get this to work.... zap. "Deformed drawings can only be converted to normal drawings if they are under a deformation rig which supports multiple deformation chains."
