it’s ok if you don’t have the video anymore but if you could point me to where your recording of the flute sonata is let me know please! many thanks i heard a recording of the second movement (largo) done by you and a flutist a long time ago and it was only a minute or so clip of it discussing double counterpoint but it was so gorgeous i think about it all the time and no other recording holds such a place in my heart

It's Bach and genuine. Musicolgists will go on about diminished sevenths, and all that load of trip that Bach never even thought about let alone consider. Bach was an exhibitionist (No he didn't like to play his organ in the nude) He liked to show off his skill at extemporising (It's not rude) and dazzle the congregation even if the elders of the church disapproved. This is Young Bach at he greatest and most forward looking. BTW Try listening to the Passacaglia and Fugue. and be wowed. Better still listen to Respighi's Orchestral Arrangement after hearing the Organ original and be wowed again.

I substituted for a spell at a dying old downtown church, with a dying old GENEVA theater organ (electric action) that had a number of super sensitive keys. Talk about frustrating!

Amazing that you can actually hear crescendo and diminuendo on clavichord, something harpsichord can’t physically do!
