As I wrote in many comments... Misha for ever... Not only in this role but in all renditions of all roles

Baryshnikov truly had the most perfect sense of balance of anyone who ever lived. He always knew exactly where he was in space and landed with complete poise. Every. Single. Time.

Beyond the amazing technical feats, musicality and dramatic chops, Baryshnikov really reaches the hearts and emotions of the audience. I don’t think there’s anyone near his qualities today.

I remember the day I saw this there was a black guy that was playing Ritchie, he had injured himself toward the beginning of the show and they kind of had to do the Shit Ritchie part differently, but it all worked well. I notice here there is a white guy playing Ritchie which makes me think this was after the other actor had injured himself.
@calvingrove59242 жыл бұрын
As a performer in this production, you are correct. Our Richie pulled up lame in the opening number, "God I hope I get it" and was replaced by his backup who was white. An in-cast joke was to reply to his song by saying "Shoot Richie" instead of "Shit Richie"

We were the first non-union production of A Chorus Line in the country. We were actually nominated for a Helen Hayes award

One complaint: the video quality is so low. When I watch this on my 44" smart tv, I can see all the pixels. :-(
@andrenewcomb37088 жыл бұрын
Nice. When it looks like one constant motion without instructions. Lighter than air. Want to know if it's choreographed? See a 2nd performance. But IF you do -- that means one less person gets to witness how it's supposed to be done BECAUSE YOU'RE taking up a seat at 'that' 2nd viewing. Oh well.
@robertharris41004 жыл бұрын
You're asking if a ballet performance is choreographed? Do you think she's making shit up? You can't be serious.
