So glad I found you again, I used to watch your videos way back talking like 6-8 years ago… and randomly you popped up recently. So good to see you are still doing your thing talking about patina and whatnot. lol some things never change.

a viewer on another video suggested moving the spring out of it's slot so the end would further along rest on the rocker. this is a mistake as now the blade hits the spring and will dull the knife.

I’ve been doing this for about 8 years! There’s been long periods in between my last knot I’ve done so I have to come back to your video! Love this lanyard. I appreciate you putting this tutorial out so many years ago!

I have always loved this knife. And yes, he was "tactical" before tactical was fashionable. Where did you get this if I may ask? I want one!

This knife is as old as me and was the first video I ever saw of a sebenza. I now have a large 31 and hope to eventually add more to my collection.

I'll say it, everybody should carry a serrated knife. They are better for most edc tasks than a plain edge. I carry a k390 delica SE everyday

Everything Ozark trail makes is pure garbage. My knife is already broken and if you use it yours will too.
@jonenglert580925 күн бұрын
So if you lose or the spring breaks will the knife still work as a button lock i mean i understand the auto would no longer work but if it still works as a button lock that's a plus, not saying the spring will break and most people probably won't lose it but it'd be cool if it still worked as a manual button lock

Wow! You made as they say, a silk purse out of a sow's ear. Your 10 dollar WM knife looks awesome. BM is not going to like this.

I am incredibly confused as to why everyone is using water with this stone. If we have the same one, Gordon combination sharpening stone item number 62852 from Harbor freight, it literally calls to be used with oil. And upon further research, any sharpening stones that call for oil are not to be used with water. There is a difference in the porousness of the stones, and the two are not to be used interchangeably. So I don’t know, but every video that I’ve come across of this stone there is people using water when the directions is literally say to use oil so I’m that a loss

Hello. What is the name of the knot you make in your leather lanyards for the GEC that you shared with us in detail? Can you suggest where we can learn how to make them? Thank you in advance.

The advice about looking for tightness in both the pivot and the lock bar are cruuuuucial. I have micarta on at least 5 of my seki backlocks and finding that balance between the pivot and the lock is probably the most important adjustment after reassembly. It means the difference between a knife that snaps open and shut and one that sort of scrapes and claws its way open and shut. What I do is go as tight as I can before it gets scrapy…back off a little bit more then check the alignment with a backlight. If things are wonky, just hold the knife up to your phone screen and you’ll easily be able to see what needs tightening, loosening, etc. You’ll also be able to spot any of the barrels that might need a little more encouragement to pop into the scales.

The manix is the best looking Spyderco and probably the most comfortable I’ve ever held of any pocket knife. The only thing that would make it perfect (and the one thing the para 2 has over it) is the compression lock. If the manix 2 had the compression lock it would be my favorite pocket knife of all time. With that said though I do like the CBBL but it’s not compression lock.

That ain’t a “Tom’s Choice Barlow” as only the TCs with clip point are “Tom’s Choice.” What you have with the lambs foot blade is a “Real Barlow” and if it had a spear point it would be a “Genuine Barlow.” The TC on bolster stands for Tidioute Cutlery.
