This guys math just isn't mathin out. Not even close. His first mistake was off by over $5,000. Another one is saying owner op truck payment is $1500/mo..... Are you comparing an old used truck to a brand new one here or are you on some kind of 10-15 year loan on that? With math like this he could apply to be the secretary of treasury for joe biden.

I sold my 2012 Kenworth T800 in 2022 for what I bought it for in 2019 I'm thinking about reinstating my authority in March purchasing a used working truck not a show truck and a used reefer or dry van, I will be a low budget operation like I was running before. I sold my truck because my mom had cancer and I needed o stay home with her,. Not because I wasn't making money

Its a business agreement. Going into any contract requires due diligence. Leasing falls a highly specific niche for those specifically looking for more control but does not have the liquid funds to become own/op. It (can be) a stepping stone transition from company to own-op Do not become hyper focused on money only. Make sure to conduct your due diligence on all aspects of your career. If the money is better, but youre not mentally built for other aspects of full ownership (or dont have the experience) going straight from company to full own just might be really bad for you.

Hey! Been following you for awhile and have a question. I’m former company driver. Went hotshot for awhile and went to Lone mountain looking at 2021 trucks they have. All good there. Then asked my insurance guy for a quote. Oh my lord! The quote was 4kdown and $2,795/month. That would be $5k just for truck and insurance. He said it is because of the value of about $72k of the truck but added he felt alone mountain was asking too much. I have Progressive insurance. So if what he said is correct on value, in my view an older cheaper truck is risky because of possible breakdown $$. I really want to jump but that is crazy. Maybe go under another’s authority but then I am back to a company driver situation. Am I missing some other possibilities? $5k before any money made and other costs that’s crazy isn’t it? I signed up on your Facebook to ask this question but looks like you are not posting. Anyway, have learned a lot from your videos- most valuable to me was load board video! Thanks for sharing how you’re doing out there.

hey brother Great video. Planning to get a leasing truck job 1099 in chicago. No ones wants to hire me because of my recent dui. went to rehab and finished my dui classes and court fees. I really wanted to go back in trucking again, This company "okay" me on their trucking insurance. Through out the years before i had the dui, Just working for company drivers. This is my 1st time trying it out ~as a lease company driver. Do you think. im making a good decision 😐

Put the jam nut on the extension threads then just tighten the extension with a wrench.... if you're worried about the nut messing up the threads on the extension when tightening, use the original jam nut with the new one. I'm not even mechanically inclined lol.

I'm really heavily considering the Char-Broil Grill2Go X200 and 20 gallon tank adapter. It's extremely cheap and I know their larger 3 burner Aplifire commercial grill has done wonders so far. Some steak, chicken, and whatever meat and corn and vegetables you can throw on there can be cooked once every two to four days. We NEED fat. Our brains run on FAT. Natural fat only, of course. Mustard is healthy, mayo is basically just eggs, ketchup is just sugar and pureed tomatoes (avoid lots of purée food in diet). Char Broil's idea of avoiding flare ups authentically does make the meats juicier and more savory. The flavor in a gas grill has blown my mind away; I always thought that was only possible with wood and charcoal.

I see it, too. It's ridiculous to be slaving for a company that is only capable of pretending to care for me, while I invest so much time that I barely have enough for myself. I often don't have time to prepare food, eat, etc.... it's ugly working for the big corporate entity on the block. I'd rather make less and be happier owning a burden, than making chump change learning nothing as the company prefers to outsource all the things I should be learning for overpriced slave drivers. It's really slave drivers supporting slave drivers versus owner operators living life to the fullest.
