Oh man I'm sorry to say you really have no clue about what you're getting into with this project. I've got over 30 years experience fixing equipment and done a couple of insurance repairs on burned tractors that weren't that bad compared to this. you always find more than they thought even when it's still got paint and tires or tracks on it. You will find with the machine burned like that lots of the hydraulic parts will be destroyed by the heat and oil burning internally, lots of the other steel will be compromised like the structure of the safety cab and other parts. If you want a project you'd be better walking from this and cutting your loss now. Then go find a complete machine that needs some repairs Ideally you want something that doesn't have a pile of electronics/computer and emission's equipment on, with good new and used parts availability. Or just go buy a good machine for way less than you'd have in this if you did ever get it working, before it bankrupt you during or after the build with other on going problems. To be honest If I won 5 million and money was no object ,I quit work and was bored , I wouldn't buy this for a project and rebuild it. Good luck with your choice if you carry on, take care.

This hoist worked to its limit really well but it needs jack or legs to support and keep it stable.

Great video! Thanks! Followed your procedure. All went well except that the honeycomb panels of either side of the UV light module are badly deteriorated. Perhaps the heating cycle caused the honeycomb material to basically come apart. Showered the work bench with small white particles. Can't handle them without more debris coming off. I can work around without the honeycomb material by modifying the black support piece at outer end of light module. Question is can the module be used without this honeycomb material? There is a high quality filter upstream from the UV unit. No large materials will flow by the UV housing. I think there is a slim chance of finding replacement honeycomb material. Replies welcome. Thanks for this video, I was quoted $500 to replace my AirScrubber by the company that installed it. They were going to replace the whole unit not just the bulb or "cell". Turns out you can get the cell (what is being disassembled in this video) for around $70 usd on Ebay

Your not supposed to touch the bulb with bare hands. The oils from your hands will create hotspots on the bulb and cause the bulb to burnout quickly. Use rubber gloves always.

It is like that for a reason. It is so the crankcase halves can be pried apart. Otherwise you can't break the RTV seal without damaging the casting. You stick a prybar in here to separate the halves.
