Sturmbock something heavy ,used for ramming . Had to look it up . American bombers expect! Very nice build. I just love the helix on the prop spinner , definitely a blue ribbon winner. Keep up with the war planes they're awesome Vman.

@@modelfun I do not denigrate it. From what you show here, it is a very good kit, and appreciably cheaper than others. It is kilometres better than the kits I years past had seen (then discounted). Excellent build. Very timely as I just received the Eduard 1/48 Mig-21 PFM in the mail today. One drawback of that kit is that the instructions don't always show which of the decal variants apply to alternative parts. One example is that two photoetch frets are provided for the cockpit, one in turquoise green and the other in gray, but nothing is noted as to which to use. As I am going to build it as the Polish plane from 1994, my guess is the gray one is correct.
@modelfun2 ай бұрын
Thank you. Yes, I strugelled with some decals and stencils. Regarding cockpit, I'm not an expert, but I think the gray was a color used in the early production phases, later on it was replaced with the green. I think there is a huge debate over it on britmodeller forum, possibly you can find details there. Thankyou for watching and have fun with your model.

When I watch you guys, you all use the Tam Liquid Poly with the green lid. What is the trick for getting this to stick using such tiny dabs? Is the glue fresher than the stuff I get on a certain very well known web site? What am I doing wrong? Also my trigger assembly for a fairly decent Iwata Revolution BR, do you have any tips for this, the trigger button at top dangles to a link with one edge slightly angled, should this edge be placed facing the nozzle. It is so fiddly it makes me not want to use it, please help! It’s a shame because it is a great little brush otherwise. Thanks for your videos as always.
@modelfun2 ай бұрын
For me Tamiya cement works good. I think the fact that is not well known is, that it works more like a dissolver, than glue, Two pieces of plastic are connected by melting the material, not glueing. Sorry to see you have issues with your airbrush, I have no experience with Iwata, and hence no knowledge about it :(. Thank you for watching my videos.

Really appreciate your video and a really nice build. I have just bough myself the Revell Spitfire Mk Ixc and I hope I can do as nice a job on it when I finally get round to building it. Like other commentators I was put off buying it because of reviews I had seen and read.When it arrived I was pleasantly surprised. It really is a high quality kit and far better value for money than the Tamiya Spitfire Mk IX which I also have. Right out of the box the Revell kit looks like a Spitfire. The Tamiya Spitfire may be slightly more accurate, but in my opinion it is over engineered , over hyped and seriously over priced for what you get in the box. It also has issues of its own, eg ; open gun bays but no guns.If you want the cannon and machine guns they will cost you at least another £30.00 on top of what the kit cost. From what I have heard there can be an issue with the quality of the decals as well. Over all the Revell Mk IX is a major improvement on the old Revell 1/32 scale Spitfire kits, but also a vast improvement on the 1/48 and 1/32 Spitfire kits in the Hasegawa range.

Thank you for watching, I'm happy you like it. Also, thanks for sharing your thughts on Tamiya Spitfire. I was thinking of builiding it one day, but the price is kinda holding me back from it. :) Maybe the one from Kotare is a better option?
@ericbeaton72112 ай бұрын
@@modelfun Re the Tamiya kit on the plus side you do get full engine detail, The cowling attaches with magnets so you can display it with or without the engine cowling. you also get a stand and two alternate options for the landing gear so the spitfire can be displayed with the gear up or down. The question is whether all that justifies the asking price.I bought the kit because so many reviewers had been raving about the kit and I wanted to see it for myself. Also, I bought it second hand so saved some money on it plus the seller was including about £35.00 of paint with it. My main gripe with the kit is that if you are expected to pay over a £100.00 for a kit brand new, you shouldn't have to go and buy after market parts to complete it.
@modelfun2 ай бұрын
@@ericbeaton7211 totally agree. Well, I think with time we have more and more options to choose from. I will build a 1:32 Spitfire in the future, but maybe by the time I start there will be other brands with great value for $. Enjoy your build. Cheers from Poland:)
