You better not go after the 2000 as it lacks 60Hz support. From the 3500 on and newer, the models are multi-standard.

Good machine. Timeless design, compact size, good (Not Cobra-good though) sound and decent power. Most important: AUX input for Bluetooth adapter or MP3 player.

I have an old Tascam 488k1 8 track cassette multitracker that doesn't work. Maybe you would like to use it for a repair video. Let me know. Kind regards. Paul.

I had / have 1 of these since 2002. Unfortunately the tape and CD module are no more as I binned them about 2 years ago because I no longer used them and the CD section was faulty (CD sound would skip constantly). These days it's just the audio output for my desktop PC. 1 thing you didn't mention is that it plays MP3 / Windows media audio CD's.

Cool review 🙂 Does anybody know what the model name of the unit that came directly after this? it looked extremely similar but it had a blue light across the front of both the CD player and the amp tuner and it came in a kind of unit with a black wood bottom and a glass top that the cd and amp tuner would go side-by-side and the control display would sit on top of the glass . 😊

Thanks for your brief explanation, much appreciated- how do I adjust SOUND EQ to get crisp treble sound to hear podcast on tuner, please. I’ll appreciate if I could get your contact details to learn about MP3 too, please. Being a keen lover of Global music from many cultures, with fairly good knowledge of Internaional Music, I also happen not to be quite tech savvy. It would be great 👍 if KZbin allows a secure option to share contact details of listeners & broadcasters, avoiding the scammers. I do respect your privacy, but, knowledge shared is knowledge gained. Awaiting to hear from you. When I press EQ I see - - - - - and do not know how to increase treble. Thanks, Ash
