I got a free yamaha jetski with no motor or paperwork. I am trying to figure out how to couple to the shaft for a custom boat I'm building, and just not sure what motor used to be in it, or what year it is. It has "ST" on it, but no other numbers I can find, and at this point I've cut it down to just the bottom hull with the jet. It has 5 roundy rubber coupler on the input. I think it was a 3-cyl, which seems to indicate a 1100 or 1200, but the coupler seems wrong for those engines. any help appreciated. btw, it has reverse on the jet, my guess its a 1995 wave runner, but just a guess. It has smaller side mirrors on the sides. It is like 10ft long, so a 2 or 3 seater I'd guess.

Not wise to use a filter without a box, even less wise to have your front tire push all the water and dirt on your air intake. 5:40 the stock exhaust is bent in an angle. You need to get the after market exhaust that uses springs for both the muffler as the header. The wider area on your stock exhaust is the catalytic converter, and is required in certain states. I personally modified the stock muffler to sound better, but you can also cut off the muffler and install an aftermarket one (using the stock pipe).

Question: Emissions Delete.. Did you crimp and weld or seal in any way or literally just a cut and crimp? The bike is looking wonderful my man! My only suggestion being.. you should look into getting a "shift lever support bracket" for the shifter. That way if the bike ever goes down or tips over the support bracket takes the blow and you don't damage the drive train! Another fun piece you could get in an accent color of some sort! Your bike is looking awesome!!

I almost bought some carbon bars for my X2 a few times.... but I always tell myself that I'm going to build a custom steering system first. That stuff all looks good to me. I'm sure it won't be a problem, but bars are typically a lot thicker (more layers) in the clamping area. They are probably tapered outside of that area, so the clamping force won't be even.. so if you are clamping outside of that area, the bars could fail. If you mount them with a rubber cushion that may help.
@Trevorkloida6 ай бұрын
The outer ends of the carbon handlebar is still pretty thick, I think and hope it will be strong enough to withstand the amount of pressure that comes from a stand up jetski
