i dont think 4 avg boxes selling per day on tcgplayer is giving an accurate representation of the value of the boxes.. sellers can list them at whatever if a few move per it doesnt mean thats the new price.

I've had 3k worth of these "investment" products on Ebay for Months all under retail 100% feedback not ONE SINGLE item has sold, not one! Keep this in mind before buying, thinking you can resell it especially for a profit.

Why are booster boxes worth so much more than 36 loose packs? Current market price for a loose Lost Origin pack is 5.67. 5.67x36=204. Why wouldnt one buy 36 loose packs @ 5.67 as opposed to a BB @ 315?

I totally agree with this. Problem is, you can't always know if they actually cancel because they want higher profit or if they actually don't get enough product... That said, if they re-list those items right after after yours got cancelled, that is messed up and stores like that imo don't deserve to be trusted. I've pre-ordered from a couple of sources and so far I haven't gotten notified of any cancelations yet, although I'm still expecting some reduction of products I'll be getting...

Unless you're new to the hobby and if you are from the US market, sword and shield booster boxes/all ancillary products sat on the open market of ebay, tcgplayer, and pokemon center etc. at below $100 and msrp of $143 for months to years on end from 2022 through mid 2024 and rose slowly. Anybody could buy stuff reasonably and as much as you could afford for almost 3 YEARS. Even a majority of Scarlet and Violet BB up until around the same time of mid 2024 you could buy around $100. You could buy Astral Radiance, Fusion Strike, Lost Origin, Brilliant Stars, Silver Tempest by the CASE, anytime you wanted, up until May 2024 on the Pokemon Center website.
