Most stores up here in canada did set limits of 10 per member. The costco i went to was actually VERY organized. they made people line up and the worker was handing them out one by one and not free for all like most of the other Costcos. I wish Costco Canada in general is more proactive managing the line ups for drops like this.

Honestly there should be a daily limit to purchase at every store. My own LGS limits 151 and surging sparks to 1 ETB, 1 booster bundle, or 4 single pack sleeves from a booster box per person per day. It should definitely be limited per person per day for all sets.

My Costco here in Michigan limited it to 3 per person. It was very orderly and sensible. There were a couple dudes who were obviously gunnin it toward the Pokemon section once the doors opened, only to be disappointed after realizing that all the boxes were up front in a staff room being handed out to those waiting in line. It was satisfying to see them at the back of the line, because they were clearly ready to grab as much as they could before other folks got there.

Costco is a buy in bulk store though. That's their shtick. And it's honestly over blown. Last time every KZbinr was sharing the same 2 clips. Out of hundreds of stores 2 clips. I went to my costco loaded up my card full of 151 tins no one else and checked out.

​@sal3888 Sure thing, next time I go in and buy it out. I'll take a video and tag you in it. I think you're also assuming most of these people are scalpers? With all the new people collecting and not being able to buy anything online or people can only try in store and want to buy as much as they can. Not too mention most collectors are older and have more disposable income. Yeah it sucks that there's not enought but that's just how it goes.

Yeah, Costco is a buy in bulk store, but this is an exceptional situation. You don't see people rushing and fighting to get most of the jars of pickles, jams, and boxes of granola bars. With Pokemon, the issue of fairness is more pressing since some folks are literally taking most of the product (I witnessed this myself), as well as the issues of orderly conduct and safety, since people are losing their shiz over this. So while it is technically by the rules for folks to behave this way, it is sensible for Costco to do what it is doing at many locations: secure the product in a staff room and hand it out to each person in an orderly fashion, 2 or 3 per person. That's what my Costco did and it was beautiful. Everyone left with some and there was no nonsense.
