You forgot to mention he said he would take less money to stay in Cleveland and yet then reneged and signed with Philly. His stock in Cleveland fell dramatically among fans.

Dude hit more no doubt about it bombs than anyone else I ever watched play. I would like to see some numbers on who averaged the longest home runs. Jim didn’t hit many squeakers.

The best player to not make the NFL hall of fame. He was incredible in the SEC. Now he is solitary working on his archery hobbies in his garage in the suburbs of Chicago. He knows he gave it all no more words are needed.

I love this video! Glad it got recommended to me today. Sad that Rickey Henderson passed away today. Your video was so well done and so well narrated and so well edited. I'm surprised you don't already have 100,000 subscribers.

BTW, knowing what we know now, no WAY should Roiders Juan Gonzales and ARod have finished ahead of AB in the MVP vote in 1996. And I'm sorry, winning Player of the Month in 2 of the last 3 months of the '98 season while hammering 48 2B, 49 HR, 152 RBI, batting .328, with a .399 OBP & .655 SLG%. AND considering EVERY SINGLE other modern player who equaled Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, and Jimmy Foxx with 9 straight years of 30 HR & 100+ RBI were either confirmed or highly suspected Roiders, what AB did au natural in the muscle dept. was just WILD. And that was even with 2 strike shortened years in 94 & 95 (106 & 144 games, respectively).

AB is my 2nd favorite player ever, after Clayton Kershaw (I'm a Doyer fan, what can i say?). He scared everyone he went up against. Even the other alpha males didn't f*ck with him. And his natural power was insane, especially considering how infrequently he struck out. He eventually became a regular .400 On-base % guy, along with tons of HRs & RBI. His 1994 was a strike-shortened year, but his numbers in just 106 games were WILD. .357, 36 HR, 101 RBI, .426 OBP, .714 SLG, 1.152 OPS. Yes, just shy of being 1 of the few ever who averaged 1 RBI per game, as well as being on pace for 54 HR. Then there was those insane years in 1995, 96, & 98. He EASILY could have won the MVP in any of those years from 94-98. Should have won 2, IMO, but writers are bitchy.

2:01 oh yeah Harold reynolds! I don't know if you still doing this but he had been a really fantastic baseball analyst on what was back in the late 2000 or early 2010 a new MLB Network and on ESPN before that. I just thought it was cool to find out where he played before he got really good at explaining things about baseball on tv. Still I'm watching this for Rickey Henderson especially since I got recommended this after the sad news about Rickey Henderson today

Rest in peace, Ricky… I met him back in 2017 in Arizona where I live… It was Christmas Eve and his birthday was the next day and I met him in a Safeway parking lot. His daughter was driving him and he was nice enough to make her stopand let me chat with him for a minute straight telling him how he was the greatest… He signed my autograph and told me merry Christmas and went on his way… They say don’t meet your legends, I did and it was one of the greatest moments ever.
