Custom is too expensive for most companies, maintenance, time and salary. An original business idea can start with custom > internal and other processes upscale with no code. No code are on the rise with more custom options available

PHP offers MVC please make more research Using the OOP you work with MVC
@Jelvix
@Jelvix 5 күн бұрын
Thank you for your comment and for sharing your perspective! You’re absolutely right that PHP offers MVC frameworks like Laravel, Symfony, and others, which make it easy to implement the MVC design pattern. Similarly, Node.js can also be used with frameworks such as Express, which allows developers to structure their applications in an MVC style. Our video aimed to provide a general comparison between Node.js and PHP, but we appreciate your feedback and will make sure to dive deeper into aspects like MVC and OOP in a future video.

More than 99% of programmers don't know how to establish a TCP connection and need a library to send data. More than 90% are unable to use anything that is not HTTP. Pathetic.
@Jelvix
@Jelvix 5 күн бұрын
Thank you for sharing your perspective! It’s true that many developers rely on libraries and frameworks to handle complex tasks like establishing TCP connections or working outside of HTTP, and that's often because these tools are designed to simplify development and improve productivity. While not every developer needs to work at the protocol level, understanding the fundamentals of networking is definitely valuable. We appreciate your comment and will consider exploring more low-level topics in future content.

While both are JVM based Kotlin does not replace nor compare to Java. Kotlin serves it's own purpose by proposing a more idiomatic approach to programming in the world of android application developement. The real replacement for the fallen king of big entreprise software aka Java is C#. Who violently destroys Java on so many levels (language features, performance, tooling ect...).
@Jelvix
@Jelvix 14 күн бұрын
Thank you for sharing your perspective! Kotlin indeed brings a more modern and expressive approach, especially in Android development, while Java remains deeply rooted in enterprise solutions. C# has certainly made impressive strides in language features and tooling, offering strong competition in the enterprise space. It's great to see discussions around how these languages evolve and fit different development needs. Appreciate your insights!

I would have liked more in depth discussion on the write speed. Why would cassandra be a better option for writing huge amounts of data? Is it because of the no-master architecture of cassandra? Is it because all writes in mongo DB go to one leader node? Then it should also be mentioned that for high write throughput in cassandra it is important to select the correct write quorum.

This feels like the person who wrote it didn't understand REST. REST API's typically use JSON because its easy for humans to read, and has a wide parsing support. *BUT* it doesn't have to. the payload can be serialsed in any way you like, including using protobuffs. REST is mearly the idea that the client and the server should use the HTTP meta data as a means to define behavior rather than duplicating that data in the request/response. RPC is wasteful in that it replicates lots of the HTTP standard (such as status codes, and action verbs) and each api is unique in teh supported set of methods. REST attempts to unify access patterns to a series of well understood CRUD actions. RCP allows for more flexibility for things outside this remit

which one is better for student to prepare for job
@Jelvix
@Jelvix 22 күн бұрын
Hi! It depends on the job you're targeting. PostgreSQL is a powerful relational database that's widely used in industries where structured data and complex queries are important. It's often preferred for positions in data engineering, back-end development, and systems where data integrity is crucial. MongoDB, on the other hand, is a NoSQL database that excels in handling large volumes of unstructured data, making it a great choice for modern web applications, real-time data, and big data environments. It's popular in start-ups and tech companies that prioritize flexibility and scalability. If you're aiming for positions in companies that work with large, structured datasets, PostgreSQL might be more relevant. But if you're looking at roles in modern web development, data science, or big data, MongoDB could be a better choice.

Marketing can turn bad things into good ones by using good words, Edge Computing is just technocal dept from the infrastructure perspective
@Jelvix
@Jelvix 28 күн бұрын
Thank you for sharing your perspective! While we understand that edge computing can sometimes be seen as adding complexity or challenges, it's also a technology that offers significant advantages, such as reduced latency, improved data privacy, and better bandwidth utilization. Of course, like any technology, it requires thoughtful implementation to avoid becoming a source of technical debt.

I have started with Codeigniter 3, after done a lot of Laravel, right now exploring a Symfony. Symfony is much more mature framework in terms of good OOP practices, details, structure than any other PHP framework, it's realy made for professional development and large and complex projects and teams who care about details and good engineering practices. Laravel gave also a lot of good things to PHP community, but it's became too much mainstream, hyped and something what PHP is not, Laravel tries to push developes as much into Laravel ecosystem, Symfony gives you a lot of more freedom, flexibility and it's not tied to own trademark like Laravel. I would prefer Symfony over Laravel for any complex and big project, while I would go with Laravel for something that I need to ship in short period, like prototypes or similar.
@Jelvix
@Jelvix 28 күн бұрын
Thank you for sharing your journey and insights into CodeIgniter, Laravel, and Symfony! It's fascinating to hear how you've explored each framework and formed such a detailed perspective. Symfony's focus on good OOP practices, flexibility, and suitability for large projects is indeed one of its strongest selling points, and it's great to see it recognized here. Laravel's popularity and ecosystem have certainly made it a go-to for rapid development and prototyping, while also sparking debate about its approach to the PHP landscape. Each framework definitely has its strengths and use cases, and your breakdown highlights those trade-offs well.

Something new doesn’t mean it’s good. Node has built it’s reputation by bashing PHP even when Node itself doesn’t has a framework as capable as Laravel or a CMS as capable as WordPress. And Node doesn’t have OOP capabilities like PHP. Java and C# are far better than Node. They are much more capable then Node including multithreaded and asynchronous capabilities.

Humans, demonstrably, don't think for themselves, if "thought" is objectively defined as the Universal Constant that it is, that which passes off as human thought, being the product of the Three Rs Model Education, is not thought but (ironically enough) programming. You are not thinking, in other words, you are, merely, regurgitating, everything that you have read and that which you have heard.

@@Jelvix What are you talking about, "We will take it into consideration"? Who are you referring to when you use the term, "We"? A reasonable question don't you think, given the brevity or your response (Although I shudder to call it a response). And what, precisely will you take into consideration, and how? Do you, and your friends intend to alter the structure of the Universe in order to, some how modify, Universal Constants, and if so, which Universal constants will be the primary focus of your considerations that might impact on my comment? Furthermore, do you and your friends intend to alter the structure of the Universe, or just you alone? In either case, by want means, and what indications must I look out for? Or do you struggle to cobble together two consecutive sentences and say or write, the first thing you can "think" of that sounds, to you authoritative, or mysterious , perhaps?
