I believe you are allowed to criticize the government; all you have to do is be RESPONSIBLE for your words. Different aspects that can deem your speech to be acceptable by the government such as having supporting facts, statistics, and examples for your criticism(you should also include methods or solutions to be considered for improvement), and most important of all is that all of the information that you give have to be TRUE and COMPREHENSIVE. Honestly, freedom of speech is so overrated since it is extremely common for individuals to give their opinions based on their emotions rather than logic. As a result, their irresponsible words and misinformation often lead to increased tensions, violence, and an unstable society.

yea I agreed with the rest, you should edit and remove the beach scenes. There are no such beach within 50 miles of Saigon. That scene is likely to be Mui Ne or closer to CamgRung/Nha Trang.

As a Vietnamese working in the tourism industry (both hotels & TAs), most tourism practices here are just very predatory. Guides are pushing their clients to buy overpriced souvenirs, lots of travel destinations are just based on the initial shock or wow factor to get people excited to see the place for 5 minutes then leave (the golden bridge on Bana Hills is a great example), lots of unsustainable pratice & lots of scams. To be honest, travelling around in big cities got be very nervous, even though I'm native here, and that I speak the language as well as know the culture. So I can easily see why return rates are so low. The real gems are the hidden sights in the mountains, the beaches on the central coastline, and the amazing widelife in the Mekong Delta. Sadly, scammy sights like the train street or the golden bridge (if you're asking, yes that's the bridge with the hands) are the ones that get promoted the most.

Do I need an e-visa to enter/travel as a tourist for 10 days or this is only a requirement for longer than 30day? Thank you!

Great video. I love Danang and will be back in September for about the 10th time since 2018. Funny thing is I always rent a motorbike and have never had a problem with bad drivers (I know this will generate howls of outrage from some - but people are different and I am just reporting my experience - I have NEVER had a problem and I have taken the Hoi Van pass from Danang all the way to Hue and back in a single day. I find it safer to drive a motorbike in Vietnam than in Canada. There is actually order in the chaos. Admittedly it is totally different than driving in North America but there is really only one rule - don't hit the person in front of you. You don't need mirrors - what is behind you is not your concern, it's theirs. If you can adjust to that - and I certainly did -then you will be fine. If you are nervous - then don't bother - take a Grab Taxi - they are as cheap as taking a city bus in a western country. I find the cars actually drive slowly in Danang and if you are an alert driver and know how to use roundabouts and yield properly, plus move with the traffic, you'll be just fine. Day or night this applies, along with liberal usage of your horn - it isn't rude - it's like in India (where I absolutely would NEVER drive, haha) where people honk to helpfully let you know where they are. When in Rome....Now, having said all that - I have seen people literally killed before my eyes in traffic accidents with trucks, sad but true - but luckily only a couple of times in 6 years. It comes from NOT PAYING ATTENTION. Not anticipating chaos. Expecting things to be like they are in your home country. Same old story. It's like when you go to Germany and drive on the autobahn. The left lane is for passing only. It's not like in North America where slow drivers hog both lanes - terrible. I loved driving in Germany because the drivers have great discipline and follow the rules - but that is totally different than Vietnam - so adapt or perish. They aren't changing for you so there is no point in complaining about it - embrace the change.

Hey Buddy, Having been using LUMA travel insurance since your recommendation and taking out a six month pass, and then renewing the six month pass, and they taking payment for same, when trying to extend again, they mentioned that there is a dodgy small print in the conditions that say you CANT have insurance OVER 180 days, but have some weird way around this but a WARNING to those ppl like me intending to stay a while, you might have an ASEAN PASS, but might not be able to claim as insurance companies do their very best NEVER to pay . The ASEAN pass is NOT intended for long term stayers, Im now looking for a less sus company to insure with.

Thank you for this video. I'd like to discover the south of Vietnam but I'm in such a dilemma, on one hand I wanted to avoid the big rains but on the other, I dream of enjoying my favorite beautiful tropical fruits in abundance (including my beloved durian lol)... Does anyone have a suggestion ? Maybe a particular month where the fruits are cheap and sweet and the weather not too gloomy ?
