What a powerful, heartbreaking scene. Beautifully acted. For me it's the combination of the music, how he falls to his knees, the pain etched all over his face, and the confusion and concern of the protection officers. Hard to watch without shedding a tear, no matter how often you see it.

I knew something was going to happen when they kept showing her with the window behind her and that made me dread the next few seconds in anticipation. Really impactful and unexpected death. Great show. (I’m in mid-season 2 rn).

it’s actually crazy seeing this scene after watching kiefer play as jack bauer in 24. in that show is the one fighting off terrorist threats such as assassination attempts, and in this one, he is on the other side of it. quite a unique cinematic cross-connection

I've been watching this fantasy show for POS lefties. It's full of great laughs and pure BS lefty dream episodes. Keifer is a terrible President, but then again he's trying to play a person that will never exist in the world lefty poiltics. It's truly a lefty dream show. NetFlicks another failed program. It's funny when you think about it, the lefties trying to come off like the good guys, when actually they want to take away the very rights that give us freedom. Been watching this after watching "Ozark", not even a close second. I'll give it a few more episodes until i can't stand the BS anymore. Lefty programs are a hoot.

Alright, smartass. Kirkman steps down. Who takes over as President? All members of the Presidential Line of Succession were dead. Tell me, who takes over? Which general? Which CIA director? You have no clue how the process works. Maybe you should be the one stepping aside and do something else for a living. Maybe move to Canada, as you said.

Maybe this honesty is what the American people truly deserve from their political leaders. Hopefully you will get it during the next eight or nine months. You as the voters should recall John Kennedy’s “ask what you can do for your country “, well imho one is VOTE, but vote for a candidate whose aim is to serve your country’s interests, not your own personal interests. God Bless America!

Entire show built on the premise that America wouldn't have confidence in a official who lacked the credentials and experience to run a country, despite him being reasonable and honest. Meanwhile, Trump. Which isn't in support of the left wing (they suck as well), he simply lacked any experience, credentials, etc. and was still put in office by the people. Oh how I wish we were as cautious as they gave us credit for. The one thing they got right-- it'd take the tragedy of all of Congress, the Senate, etc. dying for America to even consider voting their conscience for the kind of third-party, morally cognisant and honest President the show depicts.

I don't think that they would just call him and tell him. Prez has a SS handler/contact person. I wou l d think they would tell him then he would tell Rez in person. Or even maybe go thru chief of staff. A phone call just too impersonal at that level.

Dude imagine this scene from those 2 Secret Service agents perspective. They are watching the president. He takes a phone call, and then drops his phone, drops to his knees and just screams. Imagine what is going through their minds as they have no idea of Alex's death.
