Yeah well what 40 years of global achievements have you contributed to the world? Bashing a man in the beginning of sobriety is pretty $hitty. At least he was doing something with his life and not $hitting on others. Besides I’m certain that he is not watching your videos on KZbin.

Should have gave some credit to the guy who lent them the snare drum.. as Lars one has been missing for years ...

Just watch that clip of Dave Lombardo playing Battery. Metallica could have done a lot better than a business person who happens to play drums as a hobby.

I think its an underrated album, if only for the different sound it had. The snare does get annoying if you listen to the entire album in one sitting, but a song here and there always sounds pretty damn cool to me.
@TheLilyBean6811 күн бұрын
You said what i've been thinking for years. the "tinny" snare is annoying but has some killer tracks. The Unnamed Feeling comes to mind.

How about now? Broken? Did the heads turn and destroy your kick drum head?
@donutdrums11 күн бұрын
Still intact. Which is surprising considering I use it almost everyday. Some play has developed in the left pedal but it's not terrible and could probably be fixed with some proper tightening.

Metallica was gold(platinum) level in the 80s, silver level in the 90's and hasn't podiumed since. There is something about passion, hunger, and creativity really peaks in your 20s.

Some guy I saw in an interview, what was his name.....Oh yeah, Neil Peart, also stated that his surname Peart is Anglo-Saxon, but there's also other family lines with the same spelling that have Anglo-Scottish roots, and in both cases there are known variations of the Peart family name that include Peat, Peate, Peart, Pert, and Pett. And when asked if he tired of people pronouncing it "Pert", he said......(paraphrasing).... No, not at all, ever since childhood more people have pronounced it "Pert", and it rolls off the tongue easier, especially for Americans, so when I'm down in the states I almost prefer they just say Pert, either way you say it, I assure you, I won't be offended.

he recorded AJFA and the black album with 1980 Gretsch Maples and tama bell brass snare
@donutdrums12 күн бұрын
Interesting. I didn't know that about AJFA.
@Ticonderous110 күн бұрын
Apparently he uses Gretsch for all the recordings.. Although i did see that in an article in the late 90s ... so could be different now ..

St. Anger the song is a banger without that snare. They've played it on tour at least once because it's on KZbin and with 'normal' drums it sounds great. How this guy discredits the song because of James singing seems to be based on some kind of bias because James has never been a great singer or lyricist. Decent, but not great. His riffs though are legendary. I guess he's coming from the camp that it's cool to hate on James (because he's old and a product of boomers and gen-x'ers maybe?) What do I know about good music, I mean I only lived during the 70s - 90s so I can't possibly understand the greatness of gen z music and it's auditorial redundancy.
