I felt mentally homeless when i had to start looking for jobs despite having a very outlines profile. I graduated from law school as a lawyer. Yet suddenly i felt worthless, like I couldn't even get a job in volunteering, or as a cleaning lady. I felt so... Skill-less and useless. But after a few years you realise it is all due to a lack of training on the job these days. Employers expect you to already be able to do the job before you even arrive. Lol. And so they hire the most "experienced" candidate and one month later the listing is back online because that person lied about his experience and couldn't do the actual job because there was no time for training! Oops. So employers should be obliged to train employees for a month. My last made to answer complex calls the moment I sat down. I hasn't even had time to go through the file. It was about a multi million appartment complex... Scree employers. It is not you.

Jobs that are out of date. Lousy misery guts recruiters. No direct communication with employer. Being over qualified but not being told. Cannot give feedback why you were unsuccessful Dodgy agents. Unreasonable document requests Exaggerated or unrealistic requirements Overselling themselves..

Applying right now is like a bad dream. I thought with all of the news about the labor shortage plus my experience I would have gotten a job by now. But companies are really being very unreliable. I have had companies ghost me and not even give me the generic email telling me they moved on to other applicants. On top of that spam calls are ON THE RISE, imagine being anxious to get a job and constantly being bombarder with spam calls thinking its a possible offer. The hardest part is finding motivation to keep applying, and not settling for just anything in order to end the job search process. I can relate to this very word for word Alexia!
