To the wives and girlfriends of these men. Watch this vid. When they say they don't want to visit your mothers, or go out. Just put a cold beverage in their hand , wrap them in a blanket and give them the remote! ( Then go down to the dealer an raise cain, cause warranty work sucks ).

What happened that it already needed a new engine??!?

Expect scratch fender, grille, broken clips and bolts left out. Make me feel at ease seeing the full engine assembly from the crate but all depends on the technician that work your truck. This is by far the best engine swap. I see other dealers take the cab off, whole front clip off which is unnecessary and when it goes back together everything seems off somewhere and damage all over. Dealer that service my truck literally scratch or damage everything they work on. I just gave up on them. They even scratch my headlights just doing and oil change and deny fault.

Wondering how many hours they are allowing for the R/R on the swap. For those of you that have not done this type of work I understand your concerns, but a professional that knows what he or she is doing can do this job without issues. Our job now is to find the dealer that has an excellent reputation for maintenance work and schedule your replacement there. Dealers are not normally known for high quality of work. But that can be said just about any business. Anyway, thanks for sharing this process with us. I will investigate my dealer at the next oil change .

Omg... seeing how complicated this engine is, I will be staying away from it. I think toyota has lost its image and now it tries to borrow from bmw or audi with that type of engine design

Treat it like all the others motors you have done, Bleed the coolant good make sure you have hot air, takes alot of coolant , squeeze the hoses make sure you feel the coolant in the hoses, double check for leaks, you good bro good job my motor came full with oil already, I’m not certain, but I’m pretty sure they ran them, I took it to highway speeds, no codes everything good, make sure everything back on, So haters don’t give us a bad name. Make sure your part good,

Yes I am Familiar with this engine swap, The wiring harness is a mess, Its very confusing the way its routed, First swap, even with factory training 3 people took us 2 days, yes two days, had issues , I also have pulled Ford F150 Ecoboost engine customer drove with lose oil drain plug, lost all oil , That engine was way easier in and out. Having worked on the Ford and now Toyota, In my opinion , the 3.5 ecoboost can be made to fit the new tundra, I think the Ford is more reliable

Doesn’t matter how easy is I will be very I meant very disappointed to me. Probably never Toyota again. I just bay a Silverado with 2.7 turbomax. Overall very impressed and happy with its performance. Hopefully it will work for me. I rebuilt most of the engines on my old cars gas/diesel but in new car for me it is unacceptable. Happy New Year 🎆 to everyone.
