You seem to be very detail oriented & you have a great attitude….. i once talked to a Ford mechanic during the 6.0&6.4 power stoke era & i commented something along the lines of what a hassle pulling the cabs to replace the head gaskets on all these engines & his reply was very simple ….he basically said “that just means more work for me” & more money in his pocket ! how you look at things is half the battle!

Good On Ya Mate .. What Is Toyota Doing to Itself.?😢

In your opinion, Toyota is only paying 13 hours on a 48 hour job. Do you think that other techs will take unnecessary short cuts and leave bolts off because they don't remember where they came from, generally say eff "this" truck and hurry?
@manjotsandhu953911 күн бұрын
Good question
@vitkobylka64328 күн бұрын
I think if a tech takes short cuts they will get more call backs and end up costing them even more money.
@kimsac15 күн бұрын
I think it should be two mechanics per truck at each 13 hours and they would have a routine in a semi line type deal to get it done and you have someone watching each other to make sure it’s right

Aren’t they big four pistons on the tundra?

@@alechorowitz5985 My 135i has 4 piston brakes and I am least 3000lbs lighter.
@alechorowitz598512 күн бұрын
@ I believe it! But put into a more reasonable context it makes sense. My half ton from 1994 has single piston in the front and they work great for me, I know fords new half tons use dual pistons in the front and I’ve never heard bad things about the brake feel, sometimes a system can be better than its components. Now that being said it’s not a performance application it just needs to stop weight. My sequoia has the four pistons and they work great for stopping that 6k.

Toyota you suck for putting your dealers techs. in a no win situation.

hahahaha 13 hours to R&R a engine.... This is why I work at GMC and not Toyota.
@WaltNasty13 күн бұрын
@@joe0813 Some techs probably make like 30 bucks a hr, 30 times 13 is 390 take taxes away, smh some techs getting less then 300 bucks for that whole repair , hopefully the company store it self needs to do something to take care of there techs doing this repair, a lot of people lives are going to change for a couple yrs, Good luck everyone
