2:17:50 So the other universes Namakians all fused into the two strongest fighters just for the TOP. Essentially self wiping so that they could give their universe two more strong fighters and that much more of a chance to survive. No the Namakians of universe 7 are not nearly extinct, just don't think there are many fighters left as they were wiped out by Freiza's forces. Leaving mainly the spiritual ones like Dende. The whole process of fusing Dende.

Started thinking that Touhou 1 and 5 were canon at the same time and with possible out come future, and same to Touhou 6 and 19 are with different story, and There Red Marisa Hair and Yellow Hair Marisa. This Mima might from different world and got lose and enter this new world.

It's cool to see someone who knows about japanese mythology and folklore play this game :') Sadly some things get lost in localization, like, those imps are called "amanojaku" in japanese, for instance. And yes, Susano sounds a lot like a cranky villager from animal crossing.

The game's translation is far more faithful in European languages; it seems only English decided it was important to remove mythological references and give everyone unfitting nicknames. Playing this game in French genuinely made me mad I experienced it in English.

Everyone likes to clown on Yuyuko for being demoted 5 whole Stages in this game, but I think it's a nice show of character development for her. She's made friends with the protagonists, and is more so fighting them in a sparring match, rather than the life-or-death battle at the end of PCB. There are also some hints that Yuyuko is taking it easy on the MCs, the biggest of which being that she has by far the most health bars/Spell Cards of any Stage 1 boss in the series (in Ten Desires specifically, she has more than the Stage 2, Stage 3, _and_ Stage 4 bosses).

I have no interest in the game itself, but Streamer makes it interesting and engaging enough. The Touhou analogies make it easy to understand.

just so you know, youtube playlists with a lot of videos in them tend to break shuffling, making it cycle certain songs instead of shuffling properly best to use youtube music, which has a better shuffle system which disallows songs playing more than once

Okamiden is very much a sequel. But not a direct one as ir plays a bit further in the future. And I really like that game, but it being stuck on the DS hasn't been good.

I love how open this game is. For at least half of the puzzles I had a completely different solution, or maybe half of it solved a different way. For all of the later videos, too; even the extremely restricted ones have enough to use just one or two pieces differently. As for the issue with the controls: just tilt your head slightly sideways, so Satori is at the top (as she deserves anyways!). Or tilt your monitor.

17:03 Lost Word uses PoDD Marisa’s design as the basis for their “PC98 Marisa”. And even the fighting games like “the float fighters” (HM, ULiL, and AoCF), have an alt color for Marisa that much more resembles PoDD Marisa than SoEW. Heck, despite Hisotensoku having a lot of color variants, none of them gets that SoEW Marisa look JUST right. (Hell yeah, SAITO definitely never gonna beat the “Does this guy play anything but fighting games?” allegations 💀)

I continue to be annoyed at patchy's stripes, if zun says that she doesn't have stripes why has no one asked him WHAT then?... are these stripe like lines running down her frock? People just took him at his word when he said they ain't stripes but no one cared enough to ask him what they are then? What if this is nothing but the drunk ramblings of an intoxicated man, huh?

This is such a fun idea. 49:40, surprisingly, in most of Shinki's portraits, she moves her arms around and the caplet flaps up, revealing it is a capelet. The only portrait that doesn't show it is surprisingly the one used for this list. I only noticed this because there's a really amazing, well organized site for all the zun art portraits called "Touhou Memories" that i followed along the video with. It's greatly appreciated he decided to do a 2 parter so he doesn't speed through all the newer games with their more silly poses.
