Hello. Can u please tell me the pros und cons of 5th gen 4runner with 80 series? . I live in Mongolia und want to buy Landcruiser 105 series with rear axle (same as 80 Series). The price of 5th gen 4runner and 105 Landcruiser are almost same here. Thank you very much

@@ganbaatartuguldur6467 hi. 5th Gen 4runner pros: modern vehicle with modern comfort and technology. Huge aftermarket support More comfort for the long drives. Don’t have to worry about immediate repairs Cons: not as capable as 105 in difficult off-roading without modifications. Motor is not too strong 80 series pros: Huge amount of capabilities in OEM spec. Huge amount of aftermarket support Better looking in my opinion Can fit 35” tires without a lift Solid axle front and rear. Very easy to fix on your own. Cons: Might need repairs and maintenance right after purchasing. Older parts might be harder to find. Depending on motor, it might feel very slow to you.

Own two for almost 20 years. For parts, I use whatever I can find. OEM sometime are way too expensive with a small warranty or no warranty at all. Example; alternators. I use Autozone and since they have lifetime warranty, I do not worry at all.
@CruisinMiles18 күн бұрын
@@jvazquez53 I use autozone alternators as well. First one lasted me 7 years and I was fine with it.

Solid video for people interested. I think the biggest thing people need to know, which you addressed, is that parts are getting harder to find, and that you need to be mechanically inclined to save yourself some cost. I ended up outsourcing most of my maintenance as time is more important to me then money, so I've spent quite a bit rebuilding and repairing everything that was needed.
@CruisinMiles18 күн бұрын
Time is way more important to me than money. I’m the same way. If it’s something I can fix on my own in a reasonable amount of time. Then I’ll do it. But if it’s going to take more time. I’ll take it the shop I trust

What is the bulb with the switchback? Does that work on all OEM US headlights, and how? Seems like you are getting a fog feature like the Japanese versions.
@CruisinMiles2 ай бұрын
It works with OEM US headlights. Simple replace the current low beam you have now and install the Switchback Bulb. To switch between the 2 colors, you simple turn of the headlights and then immediately turn them back on.
