Wow those toms sound like absolute trash. Great rudiments though. Also - there is no such thing as muscle memory. There is just memory. Your muscles don’t have brains.

The end of the song is just absolute madness, may be one of my favorite runs he does as a drummer.

Saving this for tomorrow when I can practice it. I am finally getting good at this rudiment and I wanna learn some tried and true ways to use it.

My drum teacher literally showed me an exercise similar to this today. Starting off with RLRR LRLL x2, then RLRLRR LRLRLL x2, RLRLRLRR LRLRLRLL x2 and then repeat the whole thing twice

Funk, Rock, Metal Drummers can use that "chops" since the so-called gospel chops are a combination of linear fills. G-chop is just a title, but the musical terminology is linear fills. My opinion. ✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻

Really shows that it IS difficult, but at the end of the day, all of that comes from the simple paradiddle.

This drumming is almost an exact copy of Steely Dan's "Home At Last" (1977) applied to different parts of the kit. "Good artists copy, great artists steal." - Picasso

Yes! Listen to Purdie on Steely Dan's "Home At Last" (1977) and this Sleep Token song is 90% the same; just applied to different parts of the kit.

I really hope this band doesn't change the way they are. Maybe I'm selfish, but when you see less of an artist, you're left to interpret their music in your own way, and what might mean something to me has no meaning to you. It's a very beautiful and selfless way of making music.
