I replaced one of these last week. I ordered the latch from Amazon for £5.00. My problem was getting the door to open as the door was closed when it broke. I took off every panel to try and unlock the door. I managed to manually unlatch it in the end but it was an ordeal. Changing this part took about ten minutes, I took the whole door off so I could do it on a flat surface.

Yesterday I replaced the broken handle of my Samsung washing machine. Samsung distributor in my country sells spare parts with a very expensive price where the new handle cost 16 USD.

Samsung handle broke, just like in the video. Repairman quoted me AUD320 to repair and replace. Bought the new handle online for $25. Net saving after watching this video….AUD295. Thanks for posting this!!!

My Samsung washer handle just broke. I manage to pry out the plastic handle and released the latch. I'll need to order a replacement handle. Looking at it closely, it so stupid of the designer that the mechanism that holds on to the metal hook is ....plastic. Of course it'll snap over time.

Thanks for sharing and really detailed Video. I have replaced door handle successfully as shown. The handle was broken as yours. However, a new problem appeared after replacement. The door now cannot be closed. When closing door I cannot hear the “click” sound and door is not closed properly and machine don’t start. Anyone have the same problem before and have a solution? I’m guessing the door lock is too old and new door handle is too spring-ie so the lock cannot click into place?

Great video. I need to replace the part that the handle sits inside as the bits that the spring clips into snapped. I can't seem to pop it out I can see it has x4 tabs but been trying and trying but can't get it out. Any ideas ?
