The start of this fight is crazy because she always get the offensive and the attack looks like you should dodging lighting, you start mashing, fall in a hole you ignored because lightning, then you get the heavy debuff making other attacks hard to dodge too, and in her Soul Fight she also goes first unless you've specced in speed, and you start that fight at 1 HP, has to be one of my fav boss in video games

Not even two seconds the game's shakes from how unhinged and chaotic for what you'd mistake a finale. And I love it.

Really great that you actually beat Cackletta halfway through the game, and along with the disaster with Birdo's voice that makes Cackletta and Fawful panic, there's an impression given that sometimes things go right for the good guys. And yet there's still that sense of fighting overwhelming odds when Fawful unites Cackletta with Mario's classical antagonist of Bowser and for the final boss you have to fight the soul of the boss you killed half a game earlier

Cackletta is supposed to be a witch right?

I know she’s been gone for over 13 years at this point but I’ve always said to myself that if we ever got an animated adaptation of the Mario & Luigi series, I would have loved to see Eartha Kitt portray Cackletta. Implement some of her experience with Yzma from the Emperor’s New Groove or Queen Vexus from My Life as a Teenage Robot into the role, if you will.

I remember when I first played this game, I was expecting the reason Peach's voice upset the beanstar to be some sort of "Peach's voice is made with love, not robots" explanation or something like that.

I love how luigi smashes fawful into the ground and just says "oh yeah". Like, dude, you could have killed him

Tip: when Cackletta splits in 3, look closely for the one that looks different from the other 2 and that will be the real one. That's what I learned.

What I like about this is it's so unexpected, like at first I thought I would be fighting Fawful again but at a more difficult stage, and Cackletta escapes as Fawful holds us off, but turns out you're fighting her, the main antagonist, right here instead of thinking you'd only fight her when you got to the final boss. Fighting the main antagonist in the middle of the game instead of in the final part of the game? Brilliant.

The koopalings are such underrated characters in the mario series. This is the one game where they stood out for me the most, where they all had their own abilities, even though some of them shared the same ones. They seriously deserve their own game where it explains their origins like how bowser first found them and everything.

Kinda sad how it teased that Fawful was gonna betray Cackletta at some point despite Cackletta caring about Fawful. ( In the DX version )
