The issue is obvious when you put cheap coil overs on a damper dyno. The low input reaction is weak due to stiction, and the valving is linear. Good quality digressive valved shocks are what you need.

There is one of these for sale for $800 with transfer vase issues, easy job to remove and rebuild? Used one is pretty cheap, so the vent mod didn't do the fix 🤔

Yes and no. If you keep notes of temp or just sorta know your car for the appropriate weather after awhile this only takes one run.

Bro I’ve never had any issues I think it’s user error . If you don’t want to very stiff you should of requested different spring rates it’s free when ordering. From the sounds of it you probably didn’t set pre load correctly either .
@SpectroRacingChannelАй бұрын
This is Grant not ash. Dont have deets on his m5 setup at the time. However you are talking about someone that completed one lap of America multiple times in that car and placed competitively (not on bc). We did tho actually try different rates and revalved BC (redshift) on a 5 series wagon drift car. They were still pretty bad. Look the bc are not like a premium product so they are what they are. I dont understand the loalty. I think folks just haven't tried other types. Absolutely noone runs them in time attack and the pro drifters run them because of sponsors. I would however look elsewhere if you can afford it. You will be pleasantly surprised.

Smart move letting VMP do the install and tune. I have the Odin on my 2012 1st gen coyotte and with it tuned for 93 octane. I have had zero issues with it. It is a street car and has been usedf in all weather without a hiccup. Plus the tune put 639hp to the wheels. :)

They are good for looks, but the performance is week. I bought them and also replaced most of the stuff under the car, so it will feel "like new". Its a daily car which came from factory with sport suspension. BCs came with spring rates same as OEM. The fronts are good - no complaint there. The rears are crashy at low speed and bouncy at higher speed during cornering. Also after a speed bump it bounces too much. No real soaking happening there.

@SpectroRacingChannel2 ай бұрын
Replace Bushings. Its the cheapest mod that has the biggest benefit out of almost everything. Especially the lower front (rear) control arm. They are oil filled from factory and fail causing terrible handling especially under braking. I run a hybrid setup of whiteline rear and boss 302R delrin front. But the Whiteline kit is fine, the poly will fail after a few years of autocross and isnt as good as delrin. But the stupid delrin kit requires a 2010-2014 Lower control arm in the rear to work.

So what kind of temps did you see at RA, and where are they relative to what you consider 'normal'? I'm going to have to cut up my hood and put the bigger center vent in (I presume) and make better air channeling in the front clip to the heat exchangers. RA has those long full throttle straights and I would think build up a lot of heat. Was RA any higher than usual? At my test track COTA, oil creeps past 280, trans creeps past 240, diff gets to 235ish. And this is with a stock powerplant not putting out the heat yours does. Gotta get that oil temp down but was trying to avoid the huge vents, they seem inevitable. (I have the grill opened up and the trackspec bolt in hood vents on my 14.)
@SpectroRacingChannel3 ай бұрын
Hello, you can see all my temp gauges in the newest video I just published which was at road america. Oil is the blue gauge. The dial gauge is oil pressure. Both are taken at the Oil tstat which isn't a great location but oh well. I send my oil in for analysis and has come back good so far. I do change it out at 6 months or 3 track days. Which is excessive. The cell phone is iat2 for the supercharger. Oil and engine temp has never really been a problem. Probably the giant mishimoto rad, 7 blade gt500 fan with bypass and the mishimoto oil cooler, along with obvs the gt4 style hoodvents which as you suspect do most of the cooling. They are a pain as I have to cover them when the car sits outside. Everything can get wet under but it probably isn't good long term. If I had a hybrid car I'd just buy a carbon fiber hood, put the hood vents in that and bolt it on during the race season. Then switch if you go awhile without racing it. So for the trans I have issues there that the air scoop seemed to help. Though I heard it messes with airflow so I'll probably switch to a pump and small rad. The scoop does take like 10mins to install though, was cheap so it might be a decent compromise to aerodynamics and engine cooling.

@@SpectroRacingChannel the trans cooler
@SpectroRacingChannel3 ай бұрын
@@PhilthyHorseRacing Not that i could tell, it was the hottest i have ever run the car though at about ~85 at a super long track at WOT. However IAT2s (the supercharger) never averaged higher than high 130s, you can see it on my old phone below the gauges. Anything above 160 is bad. It will spike when its off throttle so ignore that. I have never had any trouble with the engine cooling. I run a mishimoto rad, 13-14 GT500 Fan with bypass and an electric water pump, and an oil cooler. Though the biggest improvement was the hood vents though. The Trans at this event seemed to be more cooperative. Gingerman it seemed to get super hot and fight me a bit. It could just be the longer times between shifts though. Anyway whats the theory behind loss of front cooling with the trans scoop? I was worried it just wouldnt do anything due to the splitter. Next season though id prolly just go with a powered cooler and small rad. Besides driver skill here my biggest problem seems to just be power and drag. Faster guys have 200-300hp on me.
