I know you couldn't do it before due to the bear, but next time, try to look on the other side of the church organ. Not sure if it was still there due to ruination of the building, but I've seen the ruin on other vids, and it looked like a nice bit of stained-glass decor. I don't know why you wanted to make bronze nails and strips unless you have a mod that gives you more chest slots for it. I would have just made an ingot instead. FYI: A bit of mic issues in the center of the video. I just turned down the sound and turned on the closed captioning [cc] until it went away. Towards the end of the video, I started to hear a squeaking/creaking noise, but I think it was still just mic issues. I also noticed when you were fighting the tin golem, that just NE of your base the temporal stability started going negative. Not good having it so close to your base because negative temporal areas tend to spawn more drifters or higher level drifters more often.

If you get the fire pit up to 700 to 900 degrees, it usually takes 1 coal/ingot worth in the crucible give or take one or two extra pieces for low amounts of ingots, but it's usually fairly accurate for high amounts of ingots. If you notice, for the two ingots worth, you could have just put in two brown coal instead of 3. This is good info to know if you have a limited amount of coal available, and you're trying to judge how many ingots you can make. You can't hoe "forest floor" blocks. At 28:21 you can see the red-brown of what looks like the thin trunk of a fruit tree. Tons of mushrooms in that forest! Surprised you don't have the auto map mod. With more map icons, I use it to mark a lot of POI on my map--especially on the fly. You can set it to not mark poisonous mushrooms, which is a neat little cheat to find out if mushrooms are food when you're on the run. How many aggressive animals are in your area?! Dang! And then the sounds at the end when you were in your base! I think you need to put up more fences!

Lol, there are a LOT of hostile animals in this world. Even big cats. I usually don't play the min/max efficiency play style. I don't usually worry too much about wasting a coal or two here and there. The golems can drop brown coal, so it's kinda "free". With all the aggressive animals, it makes food somewhat easier to find. And the new crops too.

The tin golem either caught on fire or it might have been hit by lightning. If it drowned, it would probably still be in the water instead of so far away from the water. I would say just keep the same world seed if that's what you like, and then fiddle with the world settings near the bottom of the customization screen for amount of water in the world and how wide and flat you want the terrain. I've been using the same world seed on my worlds for several versions now. The seed seems to keep the same stone biomes and, not sure about vanilla ruins, but for mods like Better Ruins, you seem to get ruins in and about the same locations above and below ground. Pretty sure the ores were somewhat in similar locations, too. Another thing was the trader who is located near spawn is generally in the same location, but can change their class of trader every time you create the same world. This stuff will probably remain the same until they do any geological or terraforming updates.

I am having more trouble with food, what is the best crop to grow in the beginning stages (Pre-1st winter)?
@Sarafimm2
@Sarafimm2 4 ай бұрын
Turnips seem to grow the fastest. Anything with the fewest stages of growth are the crops you may be able to get the most harvests from before your first winter. Just mind the temperature limits and ensure you rotate the crops. If you're in an area with a lot of medium fertility soil, I would just make a huge farm. The more farmland you have, the more crops you can grow at once. And if you don't want to spend all day using a watering can, race to get your first bucket so you can have a block of water next to all crop blocks. Some VS Village Mod villages have a well with a bucket you can snag. VS Villages are also great for their crops, too. Perfect for raiding once you have a base. There are also a few other mods that add tools or tool molds to create boards to make the bucket. I know "Some Extra Molds" by Astrelan has a saw mold for v1.19.5.

I assumed you were testing the modpack/horse mod when you started going into creative. Someone has to test it with all the other mods you have in the modpack! If you don't want to use the names of subscribers/commenters, you could name the horses after famous race horse winners. Since your horse is a mare, I'll give you the "Top 10 Female Race Horses of All Time" and we can always refer back to it; from the Sioux word for beautiful girl, "Ta Wee", "Rags to Riches", "Winning Colors", "Genuine Risk", "Lady's Secret"(daughter of Secretariat), "Rachel Alexandra", "Azeri", "Personal Ensign", "Ruffian", and "Zenyatta". There is also a huge list of famous literary horses such as Black Beauty and Misty on Wikipedia. Do you use up the lapis/redstone when you change the coat of a horse?

Too bad Minecraft horses breed downward stats rather than breeding up into great steeds. One of the reasons I'm not happy with Minecraft horses, but I did like the mods that revealed their stats so you wouldn't spend all day trying to find a nice horse by having to tame whole herds to find one with decent HP and SPEED, only to find out it's got a horrible JUMP. It's also why I like mods that add alternative steeds and ways to "pocket" them when they're not needed, or you've gone into a dangerous area like the Nether. What mod are you using for the nice villages?

Love that Blacksmith window!! As far as I know, the brazier you have is similar to the VS Villager and Medieval Expansion ones. It could also have been some ruin clutter you picked up that doesn't work in any way. The VS Villager braziers light up only at night and only provide light. Not sure how the Medieval Expansion braziers work because I can't get it to work with the mods I have. The braziers from the Braziers mod by Jozhin_z_bazhin actually work, providing light and warmth, but they don't cook or set anything on fire. They come in a "small" wide open circle style and a "big" square style in various types of materials, including scrap metal. They have different light levels, too. After you make them, you don't need to feed them any fuel. I think they're great for putting into a fireplace, around your base, or carrying around to keep you warm while working during winter--although, I haven't checked to see if they melt snow and, if they do, how large of a radius the heat reaches. FYI Every bee skep should have 7 flowers nearby and having too many skeps can be detrimental.

Fruit mash can only be used as fodder for pigs and bighorn sheep. Fruit mash can be placed in a large trough, with 2 mash equaling 1 portion of feed. The mash can also be used in reed basket traps as bait for all chickens, piglets, and lambs. Traps need to be checked often because from the moment an animal is trapped, it only has 24 hours to survive. If creatures live far away, you may want to bring enough fences to create a pen in which to trap them again and reset the timer. So far as I know, the Animal Cages mod by Gerste will allow you to keep an animal in the cage indefinitely. I never turn on the multi-use for the scythe because of accidentally removing growing crops. Trying to remember which mod it was from, so I could suggest that it be an F-key choice you could toggle instead of a configuration. I hope you find more of those pipe-filled ruins to add to your Steampunk Forge. I like the idea of the water going into the waterwheel area. I used the Scraps mod today and I cannot believe how useful it is with just a chisel and saw! I haven't found much use for the hammer so far though. I've received a lot of iron nuggets and some tin bronze and brass nuggets from cleaning up a ruin that looks like a castle with four towers that have a walkway on the battlements that go into the towers and inside the castle are three ruined buildings. Interestingly, no use for the aged/ruined thatch. I thought we'd get some thatch back or we could at least use it in a firepit, but nope. Getting beeswax from the candle stubs was a great bonus and I didn't expect it, but thought it was worth a try to see if I got anything out of them. Especially since I haven't got my bees up and running. Also found something called a "Helper" that looks sort of like a small RC car with 6 wheels that has some teal glowing out of it's interior. I could have scrapped it for metal bits, but decided to keep it as is. Steampunk? Does that mean you're going to have to collect some Bauxite or Sandstone for accent color? I love the idea of the moat branching off to water wheels!

I think you can also do half slabs on the roof. Might be good to check. You could also put a door in between all the greenhouses so you don't have to leave the long build until you're finished with all of them. I've also seen some people put fruit trees into the center of greenhouses on a raised dirt block(s). I think the greenhouses can go up to 13 or 14 high including the crop blocks as the floor. I think most rooms can go to 14x14x14 and still register, but not definite about the cellar. You can always use dirt to make a "cellar" above ground and see if it registers and then try to enlarge it and see if it still registers until you find it's limits. As for planting, look at how negative your crops can go and then wait until about 2am game time and see how low it is. Don't plant those low temp crops until you get temps within the crop's range for at least three game days in a row. Otherwise, your crops will wither and you'll end up having to plant them again. Then you'll have crops that are really scattered in their maturing time. "Just have a little bit of clay" shows trunk mostly full of clay. LOL I think it's better to take out the predators so more wild game/animals spawn that you can put in your larder until you have your barn(s) up and producing. After a while, you'll be amazed at how much High Fertility soil isn't easily visible. Thank you for the tips on the SCRAPS MOD BY MEDEKA (in all caps in case someone wants to know which mod it was). I'll check it out! I like that you can break down those rotten books into pulp and make new books from them.

Yeah, it's a great mod, but kinda over powered. Lol

I have a suggestion build a exterior security wall around you shops so that it looks like a protected city with a fort.
