Hey Guys! I was the Sisay that fell into your games tonight (12/7). Thanks for the fun games! Hope to do it again sometime.

Corbin should not have been able to run Blind Obedience with Black Panther as the commander. It has black in it's color identity.

I'm new to the channel, but I love the intro to each game that talks about mulligan choices and early game strategy. Especially for someone newer to cEDH this is super helpful!
@jerrickalsteen39505 күн бұрын
Glad you enjoy it. When first building this channel it was a feature that we wanted to include for just that reason. I’ve always thought of this channel as a channel FOR CeDH players vs a channel to get to learn CeDH. That’s why we often use jargon terminology for some cards. However, I believe that one of the very hardest things to teach anybody no matter how long you’ve been playing is how to Mulligan. So I wanted every player whether just learning or seasoned to understand why we kept the hands that we did. Plus, I think it gives a good insight into how the player is thinking and gives the viewers an opportunity to agree or disagree with their decisions. Good to have you as a new Follower
@Donny-G5 күн бұрын
JRock, Please explain why you didn't go for the win with Kiki? You gambled for a one ring and not the other half of a kiki combo, was it just that all your mana was red and all your payoffs in white/blue?
@jerrickalsteen39505 күн бұрын
Yeah, that’s exactly it. I figured I would prioritize more card draw vs sitting with the other combo piece for a turn cycle. One could definitely argue I was in the wrong but at the end of the day, Kai’s wheel would have sent it to the bin anyway.

So blind obedience has black/ white hybrid mana pip on extort… not legal to play with black panther…
@backonthestack17 күн бұрын
Blind Obedience is an odd one actually. Even though the extort can be paid by either black or white, the cards identity is white so it is legal to play in decks that have white but not black.

14:09 Eli should have used the Worldly Tutor to put a creature on top then activate Kinnan. By not doing so Thrasios player wins.
@8ceswild17 күн бұрын
He surveiled the tutor though. If he left it on top how would he be able to draw it, tutor, and activate Kinnan?
@backonthestack17 күн бұрын
Yep, I had no way to draw it and instead needed to increase my chance of flipping a creature with Kinnan going into Spuki's turn.

Spuki the GOAT🎉
@savagestreamin103119 күн бұрын
Instead of spuki using interaction, couldn't Zan just sac the grand abolisher?
@baamxxv6318 күн бұрын
I agree but also seeing how the game evolved it might have been done with the intent of making kinnan uses all resources on fighting for that and go for the win the turn after
@savagestreamin103118 күн бұрын
@baamxxv63 Possibly, it more or less confused me on why the players would fight over it at all. I could see Kinnan doing it to force Zan to sack, almost using it as a removal spell. But the interaction fight over it when there is a sac response was just interesting to me.

@jerrickalsteen3950Ай бұрын
Keep in mind that none of these decks.. (maaaaaybe Storm) are actually viable in a competitive tournament. We just wanted to showcase the “new options” in commander, with a splash of CEDH added.

@williamchu4595Ай бұрын
If you think Nadu is cedh op , I tell you, storm is worse than Nadu. If you don't have much cedh experience, let me explain, the tutor for Nadu and storm combo pieces are not the same spell type, which makes deck inconsistent
@williamchu4595Ай бұрын
@@PokenShaho Hope that explanation helps
@evanprimeau3810Ай бұрын
@@williamchu4595 I’m not sure who you’re responding to here… no one compared Storm to Nadu, they’re not even the same tier of Commander. Storm is somewhere around T2 of cEDH, while Nadu was bordering T0, if not firmly in it. No disrespect meant, but that’s like saying, “Storm isn’t as consistent as Rog/Si”! I’ve been playing with Storm in cEDH for about a month now, testing builds and techs, and I can firmly say that Storm is a decent cEDH Commander, but you need to build her correctly, and mulligans needs to be focused around Card advantage unless the hand is stellar. A hand that goes below 6 better have a turn 1 Fish, a turn 2-3 Rhystic Study, or a quick Wheel, because Storm eats cards for breakfast.
@goaliedude199927 күн бұрын
Having only one solid win condition with no consistent tutors for it is kinda absurd imo

After casting a brain freeze that was grasped from another players deck, wouldn't it go to its owner's graveyard and then NOT be re-castable via breach?

I mean I won't call oracle boring. It's more a design of infinite combos. Like is it really more boring then doing the ETB of dockside to get Infinite to burn or any other combo. Just less steps.
