With nuclear power why not burn the engine to the hallway point then spin 180° and fire again to slow down ??? - would drastically reduce the journey time !!
@roygoodhand1301

Plot twist: The nuclear engines are slightly more powerful than thought, and the ship reaches 4.25% the speed of light since humans aren't very good at working with the following percentages: 1%, 24%, 26%, 49%, 51%, 74%, 76% and 98%. Other numbers ending in 1 and 9 also pose issues, except for 99%: things based around numbers ending in two or more 9s are executed with great precision. Thus, the ship slows to 4.239999999999999999999999999% the speed of light. However, the inhabitants of Japanese ancestry protest the use of the number 4, saying that since the percentage begins with a 4, the project is doomed. Meanwhile, Chinese and Jewish inhabitants are both asking for 18 more people: in both cultures, 18 is actually considered luckier than 7, while the Americans would rather have 1,776 people on board: Americans consider the number 1,776 to be extremely important since the country was created in 1776. By this point, the number 1,776 has become fully ingrained in American society: 1,776 Representatives in the House, the 1,776 foot tall Freedom Tower, the first four-digit Interstate being I-1776 and so on. Such issues mean that the project is doomed due to natural differences between human cultures.

If we manage to get this long for this type of journey to Proxima Centauri B, so we can release 200 communication satellites every 10 years, then we have a better chance of communicating with the Earth. And hope that to this day we humans have not destroyed the earth and not killed all of us. Because of that, there are many not so smart people in this world. And it is a course of thought for all of us?.

I am not going to be around to see all of that. My thoughts are, if humanity will reach such space technology, I hope that whoever stays on earth, will fix many things which are still part of our life today: illnesses, crime, injustice, corruption among many other evil things. Good luck humanity.

Looks like this is what happened before Call of Duty Infinite Warfare, perhaps what happens next is the establishment of Settlement Defence Front. Hehe, just a guess.

How depressing is it to be born and to die on a spacecraft. To never have the experience on either planet your whole life.

Astronauts could definitely get to Mars. The problem is, they would not make it back safely to Earth. Dont do it... Note: it takes at least 7 months to get to Mars

Mars' moons are slowly spiraling in towards the planet and will eventually make contact with the surface. It seems like a bad place to set up a colony unless that issue can be resolved first.

Ray Kurzweil the futurist says AGI is supposed to arrive conservatively in 2029, not in the 2040s. That's when the singularity itself is supposed to happen.

Living in Mars, no benefit at all. Waste huge resources, to show off arrogance and ignorance to humanity. A gallon of fresh water cost USD 65,000. Imagine how many tons of rice for poor you can buy.

What if someone is already living there when they arrive? Do they turn around and go home? What if the natives allow them to land and then small pox wipes out the indigenous people again? And I saw Muslim looking people on the space ship. Does this mean they have "No Go Zones" on the ship where they live? I know they didn't want to pick the crew for DEI reasons, they would never make it to the new world. Lots of unanswered questions. What kind of Government did they have on the ship and will it be the same on the new world? After a hundred years in close quarters with those evil sexist white people would the people of color choose to build a separate colony all their own or would they have already wiped out all the white people and renamed the new planet "Kalergi 1"?

Is this planet really "habitable" as claimed? This suffers from the same problem as many of these videos do - too wedded to current technology. By the time we're ready to colonize another planet our biology will have drastically changed. Most diseases will be eradicated and our lifespan will be longer than 80 years. We'll print everything 3-d and will be closely connected to our machines. AI will probably be our guide for civilization.

First : those "lucky" to partake of this unique voyage will be selected most likely from the secret societies here on earth. 2: people or the generations that reach alpha centauri will be midgets or shorter than your average human on earth. 3: How will those bodies or people under cryogenic state have adapted to the new changes made to the last generation on the ship? 4: those in cryogenic state to be awaken will be their masters. The offspring of secret societies to continue the same nonsense they do here on earth or have been doing for thousands of years.

great job. I like that you don't forget that in any situation in space, the Names should be greeks. Is not something random. It is the First Law in Space. We are surrounded by Greek Gods and demigods, Zeus (Dias), Aris (Mars), Afroditi (Venus), Pluto, Kronos, Lagos, Andromeda, Perseas, etc. Humanity will be able to travel to space, when we all realise how important is to understand the Mutual Origin of our race.
